Vond Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 If you are currently locking your FPS to a max of 30, be it via Dxtory, Nvidia Inspector, FPS Limiter or whatever, and having extra long loadtimes, then simply try to change that max of 30 to any value between 32 and 35 instead. I learned about this earlier today, and once I tried all of a sudden my loadtimes sped up by atleast 5x. And before someone asks, the reason to lock your fps to ~30 is to get a stable FPS rather than one that fluctuates constantly, and it's a good number to keep it stable at.
MontyMM Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 It's also worth adding that ENB has its own FPS limiter (set in the ini), and this frequently causes the long load time issue too.
Vond Posted May 6, 2012 Author Posted May 6, 2012 I never use the ENB's fps limiter as it can cause some issues, but yeah good that you pointed it out. :)
