[EDIT] Skyrim Revisited, SUM : problems no settings and failed run AV and DSR

Question

Posted

In Skyrim Revisited at the Skyproc Unified Manager (SUM) stage, I get these errors: "Failed to properly run Automatic Variants. Continue patching?" "Failed to properly run Dual Sheath Redux. Continue patching?" Any idea how to solve this?

EDIT: In SUM, I don't see anything to configure when clicking the arrow (settings on hover) next to each patcher icon(AV and DSRP). I get nothing to configure.

In SETP at SUM: 'Click the arrow next to each patcher icon and configure them as in the subsections below.'

Thx.

I have tried reinstalling multiple times with variants (installed at first separately the AV packs via MO, or putting the packs in AV dir to reflect an install whit nnm(*), etc., what is the actual proper way?)... nothing seems to work. Same errors and no settings to chose from for AV. What am I doing wrong?

When running sum to the end, clicking yes to "Continue patching?", I get 3 .esps: SUM.esp, Automatic Variants.esp (0k - empty) and Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp (0k)

I can run SUM.jar, Automatic Variants.jar (All the settings are properly there!(if(*)) and Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar, they all run(I did not try to patch separatly whitout sum)... where is the problem?!?

I though I was getting there and would be able to play soon... snif.

Thx.

Note: Could this be a java 32bit vs 64bit problem? I have only the latest java7 64bit. Does it works properly only in 32?

I seem to recall someone posting the above as a solution to problems with SUM, i.e. install 32-bit Java on your system.

I'm also having problems with SUM. If you won't get it to work, just ignore SUM and use separate patchers. Remember to put the patchers' esps in the other patchers blocklist, or just disable them when you run.

So, when you run AV, disable all the other patchers ESP (ASIS, ReProccer, DSR - if you use any of those ofcourse) or add them to AV's blocklist. Respectively for the other ones: disable AV, ReP and DSR when running ASIS and so on.

I need SUM to work because I'm trying to get to https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=2252 and I'm new to this.

I have tried https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/884486-sum-skyproc-unified-manager/page-22#entry8174157 to see if it could change something, no.  SUM just don't works proprely here. I'll install 32bit to see if there will be a change, but the problem is probably somewhere esle, where!?

Like I said, I see the settings when I run the av jar alone when I put the av packages in the av dir of mo mods, not whit SUM... but I need all of it to work. If I run the other patcher out of MO they won't see the full data and won't be able to patch correctly? I could try to run them whit mo.

So I'm in a bind till I get SUM to work correctly... no play for me.

Remember to put the patchers' esps in the other patchers blocklist

I have no idea where or how to do that at this moment... I'm new to this.

I just found this and I'm having similar problems. Is SUM just broken or something? Cause if you go through through SR and then Add the Skyre pack, then you've got 4 patchers to run every time you update your mod list. I'll just go without DSR or AV.

First of all, please refrain from using swearwords on our forums, even if you replace the first letter with a *. I edited your post to remove it.

Second - I am getting exactly same error. I just run separate patches. I use SkyRe and it's 3 patchers in total, not 4: AV, DST and ReProccer.

Third - when you run SUM it does run each patch separately anyway, the only difference is you get 3 ESP, instead of just 1 combined SUM.ESP, so time-wise it doesn't matter, it will take the same amount of time to run SUM or separate patches.
