Also see https://dyndolod.info/Mods/Maps-And-Map-Mods and have a look at https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/56367

i had no idea that map mod existed https://imgur.com/a/HIFOqCu my map looks great now. also the fix for my previous issue is LockTexconv, i just changed my XMP profile back to 1 and left LockTexconv in the config and it generated successfully. but if i removed LockTexconv it would start getting terminated again.

I don't know what to do anymore. The previous versions always worked fine for me but now the Dyndolodx64 is always crashing. I checked the dot net version, it is 6. There is no windows error log. The Texgen.exe works pefect, but to build the dyndolod output is crashing every time. I realy hope for some advice.

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which debug log to also upload.
The bugreport.txt is for a handled exception while processing pex files.

If there is no debug log, it typically means the program has been terminated by the OS, antivir etc. Enable the realtimelog as explained at https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs

Also check the Windows Event log. If there is no Windows Event log entry, then the program might be terminated by some third party program or because of overclocking, bad BIOS settings, memory problems etc.

DynDOLOD is a compiled Delphi program. That means it does not use .Net or NET Framework.

Hi,

I'm at my wits-end trying to figure out why DynDOLOD 3 is crashing almost every time I run it. I'm on Windows 11 with Skyrim AE 1.6.1130. I've used DynDOLOD 2 in the past with no issues, and wanted to update. I have a clean save.

I started with SSELODGen, then ACMOS, then TexGen. I have the DynDOLOD Resources installed. When I run DynDOLOD 3, it will randomly close as if I closed it myself. Sometimes it will run for 30 seconds, sometimes 5 minutes. There are typically partially generated files in the output folder. No logs are generated which makes me believe the application is killed by the OS. Speaking of, I received the following errors in the Event Viewer:

I have sufficient disk space and have 16GB of RAM which is not being fully used when it crashes. I'm using MO2. I've tried adding every .exe in DynDOLOD to my Windows Defender exclusion list, and even tried turning off real-time virus monitoring completely.

I've tried about 20 times, and only once did DynDOLOD 3 "successfully" finish generating. Although, when I activated the outputs and loaded into my game, everything was completely underwater as if Skyrim was flooded. Obviously something is wrong.

Any help is appreciated. Not sure what to try next! Thank you

EDIT: I forgot to mention- my Tamriel worldspace entry looks a bit strange in the worldspace selector box: it is "Tamriel () - Skyrim.esm". Shouldn't it say "Skyrim" in the brackets?

Moved to the DynDOLOD 3 Alpha thread.

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs how to enable realtime logs if there are no DynDOLOD log, debug log and bugreport.txt because the OS terminates the tools prematurely.

"I definitely do not have a faulty disk".  Tell that to the OS, which is what records that message when it terminates the tool and thus prevents it from going through its own exception handler and shutdown procedure where it would saves logs. It could be some kind of hardware/OS/driver problem.

Use xEdit to check which plugin is the last to overwrite the Tamriel worldspace and what it does to its Full Name which is usually "Skyrim" before generating DynDOLOD from scratch. Might be a problem with translations.

Pay attention to https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/77893?tab=posts
"The Floating Grass Fix causes patches of water to appear in the road between Riverwood and Whiterun, with the latter being completely underwater. The problem carries over to Smash Patches and DynDOLOD built with it in the load order. Removing Floating Grass Fix and rebuilding the patches fixed the issue for me."

That probably refers to  Northern Roads - Floating Plants Fix.esp

I have no idea what's going on with Dyndolod but it's driving me nuts. I've spent months figuring out every aspect of how to get this game modded the way I want ALL THE WAY UP to this point, and now I'm stuck.

I am on the BOBW downgraded 1.5.97, got through texgen just fine, generated a grass precache alright. Now I'm trying to finish with DyndoLOD and it crashes every time I try to generate, giving me no errors and only a dynamic lod log and an object lod log. Bugreport.txt has nothing about these crashes. I've linked the two logs that I am able to generate here.

This is driving me crazy and I've never done this process before, but I just can't really play this game in the state it is without some matching LODs.

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which DynDOLOD log and debug log and bugreport.txt (if it exists) to upload when making posts.

If there are no DynDOLOD log and debug log because the tool is terminated prematurely, enable the real time logging as explained and upload that. Also check the Windows Event log as explained.

I ran it again after enabling realtime logging and this time it actually seemed to work most of the way at least. I had to disable BS Bruma for whatever reason, I thought it only generated tree LODs for that.

Lodgen failed while generating grass for ECSS as well, however the program then finished and zipped, resulting in a single CRC error for a single file in Wyrmstooth which I deleted. Here is a link to the logs that have now been generated as well as a pastebin of several of the relevant events in event viewer:

Wait for all processes including all spawned LODGen command prompt windows to complete successfully. Pay attention to all log messages. It should end with the log message 'DynDOLOD plugins generated successfully' and lines like 'LODGen generated object LOD for [WORLDSPACE] successfully' for each selected worldspace. Do not use the output if there were errors that stopped the process prematurely.

https://dyndolod.info/Help/LODGen
C0000005 - If happening randomly can be a sign of hardware issues like CPU or memory being unstable.
Reduce memory requirements. See Out of Memory below. See FAQ High Memory Usage / Out of Memory.

Click those links and see their suggestion for the next time you run DynDOLOD.

You can try to Execute LODGen again just for those worldspaces in expert mode to generate the object LOD meshes to replace the incomplete set in the output folder without having to do the entire process. See https://dyndolod.info/Help/Expert-Mode.
After enabling the export mode with Expert=1 in F:\DynDoLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\DynDOLOD_SSE.ini, select the 4 worldspace that had the errors and then click the Execute LODGen button and wait for all the spawn processes to finish. If execute all 4 at them time has errors again, so done by one. Once the object LOD meshes have been generated without errors, close DynDOLOD with Cancel or X top right. You can then should have properly generate output that can be used in the game.

Dyndolod sometimes crashes at 10.5gb exactly and sometimes it generates everything successfully. I have a rather large modlist of about 3.7k~ mods, could this be the issue? Which logs should I post? Debug_log, Log don't get updated and I dont have a bugreport.

If there are no logs or debug logs because the tool is being terminated prematurely, check the Windows Event log for related messages. Add RealTimeLog=1 under [TexGen] or [DynDOLOD] in ..\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\[TexGen|DynDOLOD]_[GAME MODE].INI respectively. Then execute the tool again to generate the real-time debug log in the Logs folder in real time and upload the entire file.

I've been trying to run Dyndolod since yesterday (last complete Dyndolod Output was on 10 Sep). For some reason, Dyndolod started to crash during 'Processing Tamriel Textures [22K+]', about 2 minutes into the generation.

I don't see any debug reports in Logs, only Object Report, Reverse List, Tree Export, Tree LOD, Three Report, Dynamic LOD and Object LOD.

The only mods I've added since 10 Sept was Lanterns of Skyrim II, Sepolcri - a complete Burial Sites Overhaul, WizKid's Hunter Camp Overhaual, WizKid's Carriages and Signs, and Cities of the North - Morthal, Dawnstar, Falkreath and COTN - Half-Moon Mill Add-On. As well as SSE Parallax Shader Fix and Terrain Parallax Blending Fix.

TexGen runs without issue.

I have 32GB of RAM on my computer, so I don't think that it's a memory issue. My Dyndolod is up to date, so is my resources, I am using SKSE/Papyrus instead of Dyndolod NG.

Please help?

I enabled real time log as mentioned in the support forum, but nothing happens. I did not terminate Dyndolod, it ended prematurely by itself. I do not see TexConv in Task Manager at all, it ended without notice, as though it never happened.
