Question

Posted

Hi, i'm looking into using dynDOLOD with my game. I've checked out some tutorials on the subject and have a question. The one tutorial stated to have only terrain mods activated while generating LOD, is that true? I have 200+ mods active and know how long it's going to take to deactivate/reactivate them all.

Would having, for example, a follower mod active really not be a good idea? Will it generate the follower as a billboard or something?

Thanks for your help!

I suggest to read the included manual.

DynDOLOD is a patcher to generate a  mod for improved object and tree LOD for the entire load order. As a general rule all plugins should be active. A follower is not an object or a tree (and also not terrain).

DynDOLOD does not generate terrain LOD. Use xLODGen to generate terrain LOD.

Best to ignore that guide completely.

Okay cool, that's what i was thinking. It sounded crazy to me, like you said a follower isn't related to terrain at all. But i'm glad i asked anyway, thank you for your help!
