Game Crashing when Loading a previous save

Question

Posted

Hi.

I am a recent user of the Mod Organizer and I have to say I am both impressed and confused by it. There are two major problems that I have with my current skyrim and I dont know what else to do to fix it. Its been a week, at least a dozen reinstalls and 12 hours of installing and reinstalling mods.

The problems are as follows:

1) All randomly generated NPCs like bandits, necromancers and etc... appear male. However those that were suppose to be female have mismatched head textures and body textures. Hence when I encounter 2 Wood Elf bandits one would have perfect texturing while the other is a white faced elf with a brown body texture. *The first is a male and the second is the female that was turned male.

2) The game crashes when I load a previous game save.

Hence lets say I start a new game. Run around a little, kill some bandits, go visit some dungeons. No problem! Save and reload before going to another dungeon? Again No problem!!!

However... if I exit the game and try to re-load the very same saved game that worked minutes before will crash my game... (Well more like make me wait 40 seconds at the loading screen and just close Skyrim)

Below is my load order (Please note this is NOT the official STEP package)

The ENB I use is this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61738/?

I installed everything according to that ENB as well as followed its recommended Mod list (except for Static Mesh improvement mod... it was way too big!)

Besides the two problems I mentioned above I have no other major issues as far as I can see and the game runs at a solid 60fps.

Thank you for your time.

Please let me know what other additional information I can provide.

I dont know why I cant edit but just something I forgot to mention.

I made sure to use TES5Edit to clean all the esp's masterfiles.

I also ran loot and made sure the left panel mimic'd the right panel where the plugins were located.

Install Crash Fixes add-on, it tells you with a popup why you crashed in 95% of the crashes.

Save game reload crash is usually (but not only) either you have set "ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true" in your enblocal.ini (must be set to false to avoid save load crash)

OR

removed add-on / badly installed add-on that mess up your save game.

Be aware ENB make Skyrim take up to 20 seconds (depends on your rig) or more to show up menus. That is perfectly normal

The white faces and messed up textures I'm afraid are your error. Messed up and wrong installed/overwritten mods

Since you are new to modding with MO I really suggest to give one go to the full STEP Extended pack even if you don't want or plan to use it. Back years when I discovered MO the step pack teached me a lot on how to use MO and fix eventual issues
