Blurry textures beyond very short range

Question

Posted (edited)

It's been a while since I played Skyrim, so maybe I'm just remembering it differently... But the texture quality seems to drop off and blur *very* quickly. I've installed STEP:Extended to the letter. Don't believe I missed anything, and I've added nothing. If it isn't in the guide, I don't have it/didn't change it. Does this look right? What should I check? I have all 2K textures installed.

System Specs:
Windows 10
20GB RAM
i7-2600K @ 4.5 GHz (OC)
GTX 1070

Extra example (not the same as attached thumbnail), and do these plants look correct?

Force 8x+ Anisotropic Filtering in your Nvidia control panel. No idea on the other thing, but I'd ask Vurt on the SFO page.

Hmm, I ran BethINI and now it's just giving me a CTD when I try to load a save. However starting a new game works fine. However nothing looks any different >,<

Did you also set your AF as Sparrow mentioned above. I was only addressing the grass. Your grass per texture needs to be set to 7 with SFO. However, SFO's tundra grass is not the greatest. For your rig, you might prefer something like Verdant.
