Merge Plugins reports server down?

For the past day or so I've noticed Merge Plugins shows the reports server as unavailable.  It appears to be pingable but Merge Plugins thinks it's down.  As a new user, I'm not sure if this is normal and I should just be patient or if this is something we should notify the admins when it occurs.

Yeah, it goes down occasionally due to random crashes.  I've been planning to replace the backend software sometime soon, just haven't had the time yet.

Usually someone lets me know (because I don't run Merge Plugins daily), and I take care of it as soon as I find out.
