  1. Howdy, y'all. I'm Brian, 45 y/o married guy originally from NJ, currently living in Austin, TX, with 5 kids (3 still in the house). Spent 20 years in the military, another 5 working for the government, and have been working at a software company for the last 2 years. I spend my free time riding my motorcycle (2013 HD FLHRSE5), spending time with the family and dogs (Pug, Chug & a Chiweenie), and of course, gaming! Been playing video games since the original Pong machine... have had Atari, PS1, Xbox, Xbox 360 & Xbox One. Originally started playing PC games on a TI99A, first real computer was a Tandy 1000. I'm currently running an i5-4660, 16 GB RAM, ASRock Fatality MB, 2x500 GB SSDs, 2 TB 7200 RPM Data Drive, and a GTX 970. Looking to upgrade the CPU to do some over clocking. My fave games are The TES, Fallout & Mass Effect series, as well as Dragon Age and X-Com. Most of my Skyrim builds have utilized one version or another of the STEP guides. My current build is SR:LE Legacy of the Dragonborn.
  2. I ran into a similar issue when I was doing the SR:LE part of my build. Turns out I was using a newer version of Merge Plugins and it wasn't properly copying over the mesh/texture files and wasn't copying all the scripts. I went back to an older version (2.1.3 as recommended by the guide) and it worked fine. Check your merges to make sure they aren't missing files. If they are, might want to check your Merge Plugins version, and if newer than 2.1.3, try falling back a version and recreating your merges. Concur, don't want to lose ICAIO...
  3. Hey, ya'll. I've played modified versions of SR:LE in the past, but I thought I'd give LotD a try since it covers almost everything I want in a build. The only issue I'm having is Dragon Combat Overhaul is unavailable. The author hid it until after the election. While I have no issues with the Author using his IP to make a statement, I really don't want to have to wait a week and a half for a single mod to finish my build. Anyone have a copy I can grab?
  4. I was having the exact same issue... textures and meshes weren't copying over, and neither were some scripts. Checked and I noticed I was running v2.2.x. Downloaded 2.1.3 per Mator's recommendation, reran the merges and now everything is working fine. Thanks, Mator!
  5. I'm afraid that isn't it. I had already added the MO files to my exceptions. I also tried putting it in gaming mode. However, to be absolutely sure, I completely uninstalled Comodo security. Without any firewall or antivirus, I still get the same result... I can run fallout2.exe directly, but not through MO. Interestingly, I just loaded up MO v1.3.10, and guess what? Fallout launches successfully from MO. I went ahead and reinstalled 1.3.11 and it is now working. Something must have gotten deleted or corrupted by the AV. Working now, thanks for the help.
  6. I'm having the exact same problem with FO3. I did a clean install to my SSD (steam version). I'm currently following the guide here: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Kelmych/Fallout3 I have a i5-4460 (4 core, 3.2 ghz), 16 Gb RAM, Nvidia GTX960 (4Gb), running Windows 10. I did a clean install, then launched the game normally to ensure it would run on Windows 10 and create the .ini files. I followed the guide and installed all the utilities. (did not install optionals, have not configured yet. All utilities except Wrye Flash are installed in a seperate directory from FO3). I made a backup copy of my Fallout.exe, and then ran the Large Address Aware Enabler. I then tested the patched Fallout.exe, game started up with no issues. I then ran the Games for Windows LIVE Disabler. I tested the game again and it started up no problem. I fired up Mod Organizer for the first time, and configured it. I made sure the Bethesda .esms were in the right order, and then I tried to launch FO3 from MO. The screen went black (full screen) like it was going to load, but then after a couple of seconds, it crashes, with the back screen shrinking to a window and a smaller black screen visible in the upper corner. There are no mods installed, and I have not made any .ini changes yet. I have not made it any farther than the "Setting up Mod Organizer" section of the STEP guide. I launched FO3 again from outside MO, it works fine. I put back the original Fallout.exe (instead of the LAA patched version) and MO still crashes (though it still launches fine outside MO). I even tried "turning it off and back on again", but alas, Roy & Moss's go to fix action did naught to fix it. Help! logs.7z STEP Baseline.7z
