I posted a problem in Skyrim where the Moons render at the wrong depth. I now realize what might be causing that problem but it brings up another issue. I play Skyrim with Mod Organizer and around 230 mods all working well except for some minor issues. I'm using Win 7 64 bit. I installed the Helixmod 3d vision fix for Skyrim. Then I installed ENB Boost for the memory patch fix. I don't run any ENBs, just the memory fix. The problem is that after installing ENB Boost it also installs a d3d9.dll file that replaces the d3d9.dll from the Helixmod 3d vision fix. I am amazed how good the 3d vision looks since I now realize that the d3d9.dll from Helixmod is now replaced. How should I install both the Helixmod 3d vision fix and ENB Boost memory patch so they work together? Thanks for any help. Very much appreciated.

I don't know how to post 3D Vision screenshots. I play Skyrim with Nvidia 3D Vision enabled, so the game is 3d with very clear depth perception. The Skybox with stars, clouds renders at a very far away distance so the clouds realistically appear as in real life. The two Moons however render at a much closer distance so it appears as if my main character could reach out and touch either of the two Moons. They need to render much farther away, so as to appear to be up in the sky at a distance from my main character as the real life Moon would appear to you. Hope this is a clearer description of my problem. -

I am playing Skyrim with 3D Vision and modded with Mod Organizer. With a lot of help from this site everything works great with 2 exceptions. The two Moons render at the wrong depth, makes the sky look really weird. Everything else renders extremely well in 3D Vision. Stars, Auroras, clouds, sky all look great and render at the correct depth. How can I get the Planets to render much farther away than where they are now? Is it an .ini tweak? Is there a fix I can download? I have tried the Helixmod site fix and on Nexus the Complete Compatibility Fix. They don't seem to do anything with the 2 Moons. My other problem is the water looks a bit off in 3D Vision. I thought it had to do with reflections, which I turned off with .ini settings but this did not fix the problem. This might also be solved with .ini tweaks or some fix I can download. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks. The game is running properly now, my plugin list is around 245, I wasn't aware of the 255 limit. Thanks for all your help. And thanks for replying to me so quickly, simply awesome.

Thanks Guys. The problem was I exceeded the 255 limit. I cut back to 245 and tried to load a previous save. I got the error message before launching the save, but It was a correct message telling me the files I just removed were missing. It did not say that Skyrim.esm or Update.esm or any of the DLC was missing. Thanks for all your help, I was really pulling my hair out over this, I had no idea what was going on. Now I just have to make a clean save and can continue with my adventure. Thanks again.

So, if i remove some mods, will MO launch save games with Skyrim.esm and Update.esm like its supposed to? I'm hoping, i can go through my existing profile, remove some unnecessary mods. and start up a game and clean the save. Do you think that would work?

I have 256 plugins active in the right pane Is it possible that my Profile got corrupted? Perhaps I can create a new profile that might launch the save games and load all esm and esp files as they are supposed to?

I tried to play a new game from a save game from nexus that lets you play from Helgen at character creation. I could not play because I got the error message that Skyrim.esm and Update.esm were missing. I then launched a new game. The game started and I immediately got the wagon bug with the wagon bouncing and rolling around, really gives me a headache watching that scene. But the game did launch and managed to load all my plugins from that profile. I was really amazed the New Game didn't crash while loading all those mods in the MCM but It managed to load all of them. I had to stop the game though, seems I never got to Helgen, the wagon wouldn't stop bounching around seemed to go nowhere. I'm thinking of unchecking the FNIS mods, I think they cause the wagon bug. This did prove that a New Game will load Skyrim.esm and Update.esm, so what does that tell you? Thanks again for helping me out.

To give you some more info, I was playing with no issues earlier today, then I started to get this problem of an error message when I tried to launch a save. The problem started right when I tried to Install a new HUD mod. At first I only got the problem when I tried to launch a save with the new HUD mod installed. When I uninstalled the HUD mod I was able to launch a save game and play. But the problem got worse, and now I have no HUD mods checked, the mod list and plugin list is the same as when I first created my save games, I also ran LOOT and FNIS just to be sure everything was good. But when I tried to launch any of my saves I get the message that the game is missing all esm and esp files. So there was a steady degradation of my MO setup. Hope this helps.

When I start a new game, should i uncheck all my mods or leave them all checked? I have about 250 mods, it might crash the game to load all that in the MCM at one sitting. Where do I check to see if Archive Invalidation is on? In The Archives tab in the right pane, "Have MO manage archives" is checked and i made sure all archives in the list are also checked. Is that what you mean?

I closed down and relaunched Steam, I checked and steam shows I have the game and all DLC installed. How is it possible that I launch Skyrim with MO and all save games that were working fine as of a few hours ago, now say that I am missing all plugins including Skyrim.esm and Update.esm. It seems MO is not loading any of the plugins. It does not seem to me to have anything to do with my save games. @Thane, thanks for helping me. I use a clean game starting in Helgen at character creation so I avoid the wagon ride bug. I can't load that save though, since MO says that even that save does not have Skyrim.esm , Update.esm, nor any other plugins. I need help getting MO to launch any game with Skyrim.esm and Update.esm loading as well. Help.

No matter what save game I choose, I get the same message, Skyrim.esm, Update.esm and all other plugins are not loading. Skyrim and Update are greyed out, how can they not be loading? Could this be an issue with SKSE being corrupted and not loading any of my MO plugins when I launch the game from MO? Should I reinstall SKSE? any suggestions? All my save game show that all content is present, there are no missing esp plugins in any of my saves.

I think my MO is corrupted, it is acting very strange, never did this before. I unchecked all mods in the left pane. Then one by one i checked the mods and made sure the plugins showed up in the right pane. I checked all saves, they all say "none" so all saves show all esm and esp plugins are activated in the right pane and I made sure all mods were checked in the left pane. Then I ran LOOT and after checked the load order, looked good. I also ran FNIS again, with no problems. Then when I launch Skyrim through SKSE v1.7.3 I still get a message saying that none of the esm or esp files are there. Any ideas how this happened and what can I do to fix this?

Thanks @Nebulous112 for the quick response to my post. I did check in MO that the left pane is the correct Profile with all mods checked and that the right pane had all plugins checked. Is it possible that the profile I am viewing in the Left Pane is not the actual profile that MO is running? How can I verify what is the profile that MO is actually running ?

I need help installing what I thought would be a very simple modding exercise and I get the strangest result. I have been trying to install a HUD mod so I can minimize and relocate some of my HUD elements, mostly messages as in "E" Talk to (NPC). I tried to install "Less Intrusive HUD" and also "Minimal HUD". I get the same error with both of them. I am using Mod Organizer with SKSE, FNIS, Sky UI, Extended UI, I have all DLC and Patches, and I followed STEP so the instillation is good, with all DLC and Patches cleaned as per STEP. My operating system is WIN 7 64bit. I run about 250 mods all working fine. I use LOOT for a correct load order. I also tried installing the HUD mods either first or last to see if that helped. After installing either HUD mod, when I launch a save game I get this message: "This save relies on content that is no longer present. Some objects may no longer be available. Continue Loading? Missing Files: Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, DG.esm, HF.esm, DB.esm, Legendary Edition Patch, SOS.esp, ..... Does anyone know what is going on here? I thought installing a simple HUD mod after all the other rather complicated mods that I managed to successfully install would work with no issues. Yet it seems Skyrim and all DLC and everything else won't load when I have these HUD mods installed. Thanks in advance. Any help will be much appreciated.

To GrantSP: The only reason I checked that box in Settings-Nexus was because I read something somewhere that advised me to do so. To be honest I have no Idea what that was now, sorry. I"m just glad it seems I really don't need to check that box and that I definitively found the cause of my problem with sizing MO at shut-down and re-launch. I hope this info helps others who have experienced the same problem and couldn't figure out what was causing it. Thanks you all for responding to my posts so quickly and offering a lot of useful advice, much appreciated. -

Thanks for the reply to my post GrantSP. I finally found out what the problem was. It seems it had nothing to do with the categories.dat or ModOrganizer.ini files. I went back to the settings window and checked everything one step at a time and closed and relaunched MO with each step. It turns out that when i go to the Nexus panel in Settings and check the box for "Use HTTP Proxy (Uses System Settings), I get my problem which is; I size MO the way I like it, close the program, relaunch MO and it has collapsed to min size on my desktop forcing me to re-size MO and adjust all the columns every time i re-launch MO (very annoying). When i un-check that box in Settings-Nexus, the problem goes away and when I close and re-launch MO it stays at the size and column widths that I has left it at my last session with MO. Perhaps I have set up something wrong that is causing checking that box to create this problem. For the moment i have left the box unchecked and I browse to the Nexus website outside of MO. Let me know if you know what the settings should be so that I could use Nexus within MO properly. Thanks for any help. -

Thanks GSDFan for the very quick response, much appreciated. I deleted the ModOrganizer.ini per your recommendation. I read more of the STEP MO guide re: customizing categories. I deleted the categories.dat and made new category changes within MO and not by opening my categories.dat file that I had done before which seems to have started my problem. I launched MO and with the new ModOrganizer.ini file it acted like I was using it for the first time. I changed the size of MO and then closed the program. When I relaunched the program it launched to the way it was after I had made some changes to the size, like I am used to and it seemed your suggestions had fixed my problem. But after I re-did the executables and settings, and before I attempted any changes to customize categories, I closed MO. When I re-launched MO it shrunk in size and my problem is back. I noticed a window opening for just a moment just before MO launches, this window didn't appear before my problems started. Since my problems started this window always opens, just after the MO logs appears, and just before the MO program launches. It is a tiny window and says: Activating Network Proxy. Perhaps this new info will help you with solving my shrinking window problems. Thanks for taking the time to help me out. -
After I launch MO, I expand the program and size it to expand all the columns. Before, when I closed and then relaunched MO it would return to the same size it was when I last used the program. Now, after I close MO, when I launch it again it shrinks in size to the smallest size possible. All columns have collapsed and are not visible. I have to re-size it now, every time I close and relaunch the program. This only recently started happening. I edited the categories.dat file inside the Mod Organizer folder to customize the categories. The re-sizing problem started after I recently edited the categories.dat file by changing the spelling of a category I added earlier. Can anyone help me with this. What should I do to get MO to open when I re-launch it to the same size it was when I last used it. Thanks for any help.
