  1. It's a STEP Extended setup with gameplay enhancements (like perma), some NPC replacers, some interface stuff. I've been very careful to follow the texture packs, so that everything is compatible for DynDOLOD. I obviously don't expect anyone to troubleshoot non STEP elements. If the mountain textures are wrong, something must be overwriting them, or they are in the wrong mod order. I'll check for conflicts. I use Improved Vanilla Mountains HD. I see a lot of the STEP landscape packs are overwriting the STEP Texture Compilation. Is that Normal? EDIT: Your comment actually really helped!! You put me on the right track to finding the texture! Improved Vanilla Mountains were being overwritten. Thank you so much!
  2. Sorry, I suppose I should have been more precise with my language. It looked like I had somehow missed a texture, not that a texture was missing :p It might well be a scaling issue, this picture is a closeup of a snowy mountain texture. Here are a few more screens for better context: https://imgur.com/a/GnDi5 As you can see, it's a particular snowy mountain texture used all over the place that seems to be really low resolution, (or scaled up massively). It is really ugly, and rather jarring to look at frankly. I can't really believe such an eyesore would be left out of the STEP setup, so my assumption was that I had done something wrong, but I can't figure out where. It seems to me that Regional Snow and Ice would adress the issue, but would think STEP has it's reccomendation? Again, thanks!
  3. Could one of these perhaps work? Regional Snow and Ice: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65882/? Vivid Landscapes - All in One: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49344/? (the snowy rock textures) Any help would be appreciated :)
  4. Hello. I seem to be missing a texture for snowy mountains. Here is a picture of the missing texture: https://imgur.com/YydMdlw. As you can see, on the right side, the snowy mountain is really blocky and pixellated. Is this texture missing from the STEP setup, or did I somehow remove the texture during installation? Which textures should I be using, and would I need to rerun DynDOLOD afterwards? Cheers :)
  5. A small update on this issue. It *might* have been an issue with using the wrong patch for thinner torches. I can't be sure, but I once had a crash when mousing over the torch after uninstalling SM Lit torches. I checked my installation again, and made sure I installed all the torch meshes/textures again, and it hasn't happened again. With SM Lit torches, it happened constantly though. Maybe it just made one other error much worse. Cheers
  6. Hello everyone. I had an issue with the mod SM Drop Lit Torches. Whenever I was in the inventory and moused over a torch, my game would instantly CTD. I removed SM Drop Lit Torches, and the problem went away. As a clarification, I made sure there weren't any conflicted files or dependencies in MO beforehand. Once the mod was removed, the issue went away. I thought I'd report my findings in case they could be useful for anyone else :) As an aside, I would also like to see STEP updated to use the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Patch. Cheers
  7. I'm having a strange issue. I have followed the STEP guide precicely in installation, with all the prerequisites in the right order, and newest version. I've run both texgen and worldoutput successfully and added them to my load order. DynDoLOD is at the bottom, and everything. But sometimes, not always, when I run the game, I get a lot of errors on other mods, typically failure to load DLL's, like jaxonzconsoleplugin, AH Hotkeys, jcontainers, hdt High heels etc. Normally, errors like these are due having too many plugins activated, but my game is at 248 plugins, below the limit. If I disable DynDoLOD, the other plugins run normally. I've also checked for conflicts in MO, and DynDOLOD or the outputs don't conflict with the plugins that are failing to load properly. Sometimes the game starts/loads normally without errors, and I'm not getting any error messages on those occasions. Any ideas? perhaps I'm going over some kind of limit of another kind? I do run Perma? EDIT: I now encountered the same problem while running without DynDOLOD, so I'm guessing it's a different issue altogether. It's so strange, it's really inconsistent, and doesn't happen all the time, but happen far more frquently with DynDOLOD. Perhaps it's a scriptoverload issue? EDIT 2: After some thorough troubleshooting and testing the issue seems to be related to a mod overwriting the XP32 skeleton. Once I made sure the XP skeleton was in use, the issue has gone away. For now at least :)
