  1. Actually, Tech, transparancy AA was off; I remember this specifically because that was one of my first go-to solutions. Everything is working fantastic, now. - Quick aside: the Nvidia 980 is a god-in-the-machine. I've never seen a piece of hardware like this.
  2. Well, all the way done to Sounds and it's purring like a Sabrecat (ha, I made a lore funny, derp.). So, thanks for the help. Guess I did just mess up during the last run.
  3. Okay, clean install and nothing downloaded... LOD's are fixed. RE-Stepping.
  4. Sigh. As a general statement to my competency, I built this rig 6 months ago (went from a huge box to a small form factor) and just now realized I had left Core Parking on in Windows, effectively cutting my core/thread count in half. So, tomorrow, when the 980 arrives I'll be doing a fresh STEPS reinstall and see where that gets us. Interested in seeing what the new DSR feature looks like with Skyrim.
  5. Will try that. Ya know... at 1080p, I'm noticing my 690 is getting it's 2.048GB VRAM pushed. 2033, at some points. Especially staring at the rejuvenated Gildergreen. Two days from now I'll be getting a 980 SC and will see if the 4GB helps. Edit: Hrm... https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/724155/gtx-690-and-skyrim-need-help-resolving-an-issue/ I've been seeing FPS drops that don't go away until Skyrim restarts. Is it possible the textures aren't getting drawn because of VRAM cap? I've never actually HIT the cap before, so.
  6. Negative. Played through the regular intro and got this after leaving Riverwood: (attached)
  7. Installed Mods: (Yeesh, is there a better way to copy my mods?) Skyrim.ini: SkyrimPref.ini: ENBLocal.ini Also, at some point you said my ENB ini was filled with extra stuff? I haven't touched it except when STEP told me to. Maybe I downloaded the wrong INI?
  8. No script cleaning, no editing, no touching. I also went about reinstalling all the visuals but needed to leave before testing.Update, though: during alternate start shipwreck, there's a large iceberg that's transparent. I can still walk on it, but it's gone. Hm. There were also a few LOD issues with some of the big ice islands nearby, too.Broadly, to answer: no. Clean download, clean ini's.When I get home I'll post my final load order and ini files.
  9. Well, just finished the final Patches and everything in the game is stunning. Except that damn Whiterun LOD. I'm out of ideas. The only non-STEP mods I am running are CBBE, a different Better Males, ESF Companions, and Alt Start, but the problem started before them. Sigh. Not gamebreaking, just annoying as hell.
  10. Alrighty, deleted and reset my ini files, then went through the detailed ini STEP instructions. Still there.
  11. Oh, I was messing around with LOD distances/uGrids/Cells to try and make the problem go away. Everything else has been STEP-certified.
  12. The hell is going on... don't even HAVE a SKSE folder in Data. Reinstalled SKSE just now and nothing. There's one in MyGames, but... no ini file. SKSE is working and loading, though.
  13. Here ya go. Thanks. Skyrim.ini SkyrimPrefs.ini ENBlocal.ini That's... odd. Where the heck is my SKSE ini?
  14. My FoV is unchanged. I went into the game and played around with it via the console. No luck.
  15. No joy on the waiting. Where is my FoV in Prefs? Sorry, been at the bar for a few hours.
  16. Will try that when I get home. Roger.
  17. I did. Photobucket links.Unfortunately, the 690 is limited to a 2GB memory, but MSI/Riva say that's it is using 1862mb staring at Whiterun from the bridge (coc Whiterun location). So, I'm not overdoing the RAM limit. 60FPS solid, too.
  18. It seems to be some of the files told to be hidden in the Whiterun Amidian. I reinstalled and tried to do it without hiding, no go. Then, hid them, again. Still nothing.
  19. Just disabled every visual mod in STEP. No joy. Grumble.
  20. Bam. Ugrids to 7 and cellbuffer to 64 fixed it INSIDE Whiterun. So.... Still, outside is bugged.
  21. Hey, guys. I ran through the gamut of fixes for this. Both inside and outside Whiterun, the castle is invisible until you get close. So, LOD problems? I double-checked the installation of Quality Map, no joy. Haven't finished installing ALL of STEP yet, but have finished the visuals section and this started happening during a test benchmark. The ONLY mod I have that is not a part of STEP is Alternate Start. (It should be said my game looks beautiful and runs crisp as hell.) https://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk7/mklein85/ScreenShot2.jpg https://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk7/mklein85/Whiterun.jpg Intel 4770K @ 3.9, 16GB, and a Nvidia 690. Followed all the tweaks, ini, program, tools and mod installs until the end of visuals. Mods so far:
