  1. That makes this even more confusing. I"m so sorry for causing you so much grief.
  2. the only th ing in the map fileis each merged ESP followed by =0 what does tht mean?
  3. Good to know, that probably has something to do with it like Greg said. So yeah not sure if there's a way to account for that.
  4. I don't renumber formids as far as I know. I just use thep rocess that comes with Mator's tool
  5. Can't figure out how to edit my post otherw is e I'd dpo that but 'll just post m y findings. tried renaming one of the exisit ng.string files as well as using TES5Edit to generate new ones no luck.
  6. That seems likely I can to a veyr basic test of that Unfortunately it's not a solution just yet. If you're right, and I suspect you may be, i'd have to figure out how to create a rband new string file that merges the string files of the exisitng mods.
  7. SKyrim. Unfortuantley I don't know anything about how it works either. but it leads to the names of items being broken. I can try and show you a screenshot if it will help.
  8. Is there a trick to this or is it just not possible? I've been trying to merge together a few crafting mods but for ones that come with .string files once the merge is complete I keep getting names of objects, recipes, etc replaced with <No string> errors. I try copying the strings folders over to the new merge with no luck. Is there a trick to this that I"m misisng?
  9. I'm running FNIS from Mod Orginizer.
  10. I'm using Windows XP if htat helps and an old version of Mod Orginizer that will still ru n on it. and the exact directory that FNIS points to is C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Mod Organizer\mods\Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe HOw wo uld I make sure I have them installed correctly? I checked the FNIS sub-directory under Mod Orginizer and that seems to be in order. ot her than that I'm lost. Alos I made sure to point hte FNIS install to its data directory and I've been following Gophrs install guide if that helps. For further refrence, the mod I have that uses it is Bathing in Skyrim should FNIS be prioritized beofre that or after? Oh and my version of Mod Orginizer is 1.2.18 and whenever I try to actually launch FNIS program I get an error that says "cannot rename ModOrginizer.ini if hta tmeans anything.
  11. Yes, I just reset it just in cas3e and I got the same result.
  12. I'm getting an error whenever I try to update FNIS behavior via Mod Orginizer and I can't figure it out. I've tried running FNIS as admin but it didn't work See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): The directory name is invalid at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithCreateProcess(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start() at GenerateFNISforUsers.GenerateFNISUsers.Main() at GenerateFNISforUsers.GenerateFNISUsers.Button1_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.1022 (RTMGDR.030319-1000) CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v4.0.30319/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- GenerateFNISforUsers Assembly Version: 5.4.2.0 Win32 Version: 5.4.2.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/program%20files/steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim/data/tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users/GenerateFNISforUsers.exe ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly Version: 10.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 10.0.30319.1 built by: RTMRel CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Microsoft.VisualBasic/v4.0_10.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.1001 built by: RTMGDR CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.1 built by: RTMRel CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.1002 built by: RTMGDR CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.1001 built by: RTMGDR CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.1 (RTMRel.030319-0100) CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Runtime.Remoting/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Runtime.Remoting.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
