  1. Is there a mod that makes vanilla NPCs interesting? Specifically, I'm looking for more interesting dialogue WITHIN the dialogue window. I know there's at least one mod that makes NPCs have more interesting things to say aloud while adventuring, but I'd like something that gave the NPCs more actual personality than just robots who do what you say and carry what you give them. I also know of the mod Interesting NPCs, but it seems that mod just adds a bunch of NPCs who also happen to be interesting. I've considered that mod, but I'd first like to enjoy the vanilla NPCs, if possible. Of course, it's possible my computer might not be able to handle the mod I'm looking for, and I don't know that it could handle Interesting NPCs, either: it's very low-end (I can't do regular STEP either: the graphics mods are too much and I can't use the texture DLC either). Next year, when I have a new computer, though . . .
  2. I both like and dislike the reminder. When I start Nexus Mod Manager (which I used to use and where I usually endorsed mods), I get asked to login, which is normal. What's not normal is that every time this happens lately, in bright red, it says "Cannot reach the Nexus login server." So, I do everything offline, and that means I can't endorse any mods from within NMM. I just recently decided to start a new game of Skyrim using STEP, so I have Mod Organizer now, but I haven't used it. The online reminder would be really nice: there are a LOT of mods I want to endorse that I haven't been able to endorse through NMM and until this thread, I didn't even know about the download history on Nexus itself. The problem is that it keeps picking mods I haven't even TRIED yet: so I don't want to say that I don't want to endorse them, but I don't want to endorse them . . . YET. I can see how it would be seen as nagging, but I find it mostly a good idea with poor execution. I don't feel like it's trying to get me to endorse EVERYTHING I've downloaded, although the fact that it keeps picking mods I've downloaded but haven't tried is irritating. Maybe there are some people who just click everything, but I think most people do read before doing things. And of course I can't really blame the Nexus site: how would it know which mods I've tried? I guess I just wish it either 1) had a longer list, or 2) didn't continuously display the same unendorsed/unignored mods.
