  1. I've been having massive performance drops in heavy rain / storm. My FPS gets pretty much halved and the game becomes much less responsive. It seems like a CPU load issue. i7 4700MQ + GTX 765m. I've found this possible fix, but I don't know how to apply it. If I simply enable the .esp, rain becomes invisible. Any help would be appreciated!
  2. I'd say the main source of difficulty alterations in the C&PD setup is FWE. It's quite configurable, so you can actually switch it back to vanilla levels if you wish.
  3. Assuming you mean Realistic Interior Lighting, nope - almost no FPS difference between it turned on and off. I guess this might just be the engine. The ~60 fps I'm getting in exteriors is pretty finely tuned (it does actually drop a bit in select few areas, such as Bigtown), so it might just be the case of anything that's poorly optimized showing as a noticeable drop. It's still playable, just annoying. "Good" old Gamebryo. ;)
  4. With the "cutting edge" Bethesda engine knowledge focused in these forums, I thought this would be the good place to ask. :) Common sense would suggest that if one's getting solid high FPS in the outdoors, interiors should be a piece of cake too. No the case here - I'm getting 58 fps (capped) almost everywhere in the Capital Wasteland and other outdoor cells (Megaton, isolated DC squares etc.), but also drops of up to 25 fps in certain interiors; a recent example in my curent playthrough being certain spots of the Red Racer factory. What might be causing this? Where would one start looking for possible causes?
  5. Thanks again. :)
  6. Thank you! Do you know of any other specific mods that were affected?
  7. OK, I've just fixed my own problem, well done me. I checked the MO filetree for AQWM and sure enough, the folder and file structure was there, but all files were 0 bytes in length. I redownloaded the mod (installer version) and installed via MO, same result. I then repackaged the mod choosing the STEP Core recommended version (main roads only, hi-res) and installed the new archive. It worked fine. Is this a problem with AQWM installer? Can anyone confirm? The latest version of the mod is from 2012, so it hasn't changed since STEP 2.2.8. I'll go through other STEP Core mods to make sure it didn't happen anywhere else. So far it doesn't seem to be installer-dependent (as SMIM installed fine).
  8. First post hello, I've recently installed the complete STEP Core, as per 2.2.8. All seems rather fine so far; however, my map looks like this: I don't think it's supposed to look this way - there aren't any roads and it's generally kind of crap. My installation order and priorities are pretty much exactly as suggested by STEP and the only extra mods (on top of STEP Core) are the Green Water Fix and RCRN. The complete MO modlist.txt: If anyone's got any suggestions, I'll be most grateful! :)
