Ahh, I see said the blind man. Thanks, I looked over the priorities tab in the wiki. Seeing as how Distant Decal Fix is 7 and USKP is 18 ill assume the guide is pretty much listed in a way so I shouldnt really have to change prioity numbers anyway, correct? USKP was installed after Distant Decal so it gains priority anyways, no fixing needed.

ahh, so is there anything special I should do with them, as there is a little lightning bolt beside both. I did read the wiki to understand what the flags are and read the section on overwrite but still a bit confused.
-
I the left pain of MO those mods have a conflict with each other. One file is overwriting the other I believe as per the Flag. But there are no files in the overwrite?
-
Distant Decal Fix and Unofficial Skyrim Patch are flagged but when I click on overwrite tab there is nothing inside there? The tab is working as I just created a mod using overwrite for Dual Sheath Redux?
-
basically, any of the mods that were originally flaged that i did the "create mod" for but then deleted, its like MO remembered that even though I'm starting fresh. As anything after those mods will goto overwrite but anything befor that will be flagged and not appear in the overwrite folder? Also the actual overwrite folder in the SkyrimMod Organizeroverwrite is also empty. I currently am just finished installin the STEP Fixes section and there are 10 mods that are (<Conflicted>), but again are not appearing in the overwrite? it remains grey?

Previously i did not understand how to use the overwrite feature in MO, now I do. I started installing my mods fresh and deleted my old profile which had files in the overwrite that i just left there because i was not sure what to do with them. In my old profile I right clicked on "overwrite" and clicked "create mod". but I did not know to drag the files from overwrite into the newly made mod in the left pane so I deleted the mod I made, fearing I screwed something up. Now when I reinstall the same mods in a new profile it is showing the overwrite flag only there is nothing in the overwrite folder?

I highly recommend ENBoost, if installed properly, it will work great. It will allow your pc to allocate more RAM to skyrim as skyrim is a 32-bit app and cant use more than 3.1 GB of RAM My Skyrim is using 4167MB of RAM at some points, I have 16GB so no worries, but without ENBoost what would happen when Skyrim reached that 3.1ish GB of RAM usage... most likley CTD.

I would uninstall NMM and delete any folders left by it, and install MO 100%. It does not even touch your actual Skyrim folder so you don't ever have to worry about reinstalling the whole game again. Also MO tells you everything you need to know about your mods, and any conflicts and how to fix them. Log in to Steam and click on Library. Right-click on the game, select Delete local content, and confirm. Insert the first disc into your computer. Close Steam (Steam > Exit). Press Windows Key + R to open Run In the Run window type: "C:Program FilesSteamSteam.exe" -install E: Replace E: with the CD/DVD drive you are installing from if is not correct. Replace C:Program FilesSteam if your Steam installation is not in the default location. Press OK. Steam will launch and ask you to sign in if you do not have your password saved. Your installation should continue from the disc. Find the location of your Nexus Manager folder and all the mods should be there just put them in a new folder before deleting NMM.

Hmm... well I knew I should used MO like instructed but I'm confident using NMM since I'am familair with the proper file structure of a mod and how to install manually or with a manager. Starting over and gonna use MO but still I should be able to run 2k textures? and SMIM used an installer so I'm not sure how it was installed wrong? Also I will be using ENBoost and whatever they recommend in STEP this time round , hopefully all will go well.....

I usualy get between 50-60 FPS in Fraps, using mostly 2k Textures and NO 4k textures, but I'am noticing purple and black textures on totally random things, sometimes the whole room will be black and purple. I read through the other forum about texture problems. I also get completly random crash, sometimes after and hour of play and sometimes less. Its not my GPU as I have monitored it while playing and all is well. Im also at the sounds section in STEP program and have run BOSS and Tes5Edit on a regular basis and both programs are showing no problems. My load order and install order are perfect and I have installed all the nessesary patches and so forth... Also using that latest RCRN AE Beta and NOT using ENBOOST, or Duel Sheath Redux or XP32 Maximum Skeleton. I have properly cleaned the Skyrim Masters and the DLC's and I have not changed uGridsToLoad, these things happen even when starting a new game. S.T.E.P 2.2.8 Mod installation order
eLoCC86 replied to eLoCC86's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Your awsome, starting to understand this all slowly. Here I thought I knew what I was doing for the last year of modding skyrim, and just playing with a good looking game with the occasional crash. Iam now following it properly instead of just installing what I wanted from the list. Thanks for the help buddy. Will post later if needed. -
S.T.E.P 2.2.8 Mod installation order
eLoCC86 replied to eLoCC86's question in General Skyrim LE Support
OK so now Im using mod organizer instead of NMM with my new install as it has good features and is reccommended with STEP. But remember when i said if I install a patch without its master didnt seem right to me, well now I have a perfect example... I installed the consistant older people all 19 NPC's BOYD compatible mod, like it says to in section 2.D Fixes, and now MO says that the mod has missing masters, and of course I havent installed "Bring out your dead", as it is much further in the STEP Program (2.M. Gameplay) On another note, regarding BSA files, I know I should extract the BSA so MO will use the loose files but how about Dawnguard. dragonborn, and the HighResTexturePack01,02,03.BSA, just leave those? -
S.T.E.P 2.2.8 Mod installation order
eLoCC86 replied to eLoCC86's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Alright, thats sounds easier, already preparing to start from scratch as either Cell Stabilizer or the Mem Patch caused my FPS drop to 30 or less as was fine before I installed these, as you know, and I'm still getting a CTD for some unknown reason. I don't think that I need the memory patch as I'm not having issue with memory to begin with, so will exclude that. But I will install in the order specified this time round an see what happens. Thanks... -
S.T.E.P 2.2.8 Mod installation order
eLoCC86 replied to eLoCC86's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Thanks for the reply, i will check out memory patch 3.0. As per my first question, so if install aMidianBorn, Elemental Staffs and Skyrim Weapon De-LARP-ification Project later down the guide like it says, and install the patches for these mods to be compatible with Dual Sheath Redux right now, TES5Edit will show all these patches have missing masters, do to not having to install the main mods till later. So common sense suggests that I install now, and patch them, and ignore them when i get to them later down the list since there already installed. -
Just curious, with certain mods like, lets say, Duel Sheath reduxIn the detailed instructions link it will say..."Besides the main file, also install the patches for aMidianBorn, Elemental Staffs and Skyrim Weapon De-LARP-ification Project".Which are all much later in the guide, so do I install aMidianBorn, Elemental Staffs and Skyrim Weapon De-LARP-ification now then install the patches for them, or just install the patches now?I ask because usually you install a main file first before adding a patch??? I did run the GenerateFNIS and Dual Sheath Redux Patcher, Iam at 2.G now in the guide and would like to continue on but would like to fix the CTD first. Here is my Masterlist, everything in TES5Edit shows good and I used BOSS recently, and with BUM there are noproblems with anything, i only needed to make a userrule for SkyFalls + SkyMills + DG + DB.esp, to load it after Guard Dialogue Overhaul.esp. Iam getting random CTD sometimes after only a few minutes, or sometimes after a hour or so? I usually get about 60 FPS or so with the occassional dip and im pretty sure my machine can handle it. Heres all my .txt files please take a look... modlist.txt userlist.txt CPUID ROG CPU-Z.txt FRAPSLOG.TXT
