  1. Coming back to this after a few days but no new post :( Pretty sad I have to give up on SR:LE when I ran it twice before without any problem... If anyone else has any advice on how I could try to track the problem more precisely it would be nice too :)
  2. Hey Nebulous, Thanks for the answer ! That's what I thought but I wanted to be extra sure, because I really don't understand why it doesn't work :)
  3. Hi everyone, First of thanks again Neovalen for the guide and everyone here on the forum for the support you provided. This post is gonna be long, but I really want to provide any info I have on my hand, so please bear with me and sorry for any mistake, english isn't my native language :) So it's my 3rd run throught SR:LE since 2 years and it's the first time I struggle without a solution. It's been a while and I forgot how to troubleshoot properly, so I'd like advice on this. I already started from scratch twice and I keep getting the same problem. I always install a category then launch the game and continue forward if it works, but this time it started crashing once I passed the the 4.7.6 category (animation and skeleton). It didn't crash straight on bed use (Alternate start) but after a minute or two. So I took a step back, deactivating mods till the previous category (4.7.5, Skin and Body) but it kept crashing on launch this time. So I chose to keep on going and see if it would stop once the install was done, and of course it kept crashing but only if I went outside. I took a look at the post here on this subject and it's not the ENB or any 4.10.1 (survival gameplay) mod like it seems to have been the case for some other people. I deactivated every mod and added them again category by category to try and find the culprit and everytime I'd start a new game, and choose randomly between a start that would let me go outside, as I knew the problem was with something outdoor related, and let the game run around 2 minutes, moving a bit around. I didn't get a crash until I got to 4.5.4/4.5.5 (Weather systems and ENB related files). I was next to the sea up north (left for dead start) and it crashed right after, while I was running around, some stone turned to a white flashy not textured thing. I couldn't find the exact mod that did this, or could reproduce exactly the same crash so I kept going but from this point it crashed randomly before the ~2 minutes mark if I ran around, if I stood still it wouldn't. I reached a point where I added all the mod back but DynDOLOD, it worked/crashed the same way and then with DynDOLOD on I would crash while loading any outdoor zone. More specificly it would crash faster or even on load if I tried a flora heavy zone. I ran the memoryblock thingy and it's not the problem. So now for the usual stuff here is my load order and left side panel mods : Load Order (pretty sure it's ****ed up now after all the mess I went through by deactivating and adding back the mods) Modlist I'll now state with the few point where I'm not exactly sure I clearly got right during the install (I already looked for post here and did not find any really precise answer to those) : SKSE : We're supposed to name the SKSE mod folder "Skyrim Script Extender" , yet I see a lot of mod looking for "SKSE", doesn't it create problems ? Optionals and update : It's stated that you shouldn't merge any update or optional when installing, so I didn't, like at all, for any update or optional until the merge section, even for the "(main file + update)" type of mod install. Was it a mistake ? Merge Plugins : What exactly are those pulgin files, only .esp/.esm or any file or folder inside the mod folder ? Secondly it was impossible for the software to find my .flg TESV thing. Even if I entered the direct path to the file I think it didn't work. It's really weird cause I can see all the files in the Windows explorer but in the Merge Plugins explorer window it doesn't even show the same content for this folder so I installed Skyrim Scripting tools in the same folder, and used the /flg from this instead as stated in a post here. Was it a mistake ? Conflict Resolution : I used the premade .esp as I did go through the hassle of this during my first 2 run of SR:LE some time ago. Should I still take a look at everything through TESV Edit ? SUM : Even if I didn't change anything to my modlist and run LOOT at the last point of the guide just before the first launch, should I run it again ? So here we are, I'm sorry for this wall of text, and hope you can help me, I don't really know where to look at and after more than 20 hours of installing I think it's time to ask for help. Feel free to ask anything I'm online for the next 12 hours so I can provide anything.
  4. Hey, joining the topic cause I'd like to know too. About the TESV Flag thing, the first time I did like you fightinfilipino, but this time I installed the Skyrim Scripting Tools inside the Papyrus folder and Merge Plugin was able to find the .flg from the Papyrus Compilers folder. That allowed me to check the partial script option and compiled those too, which didn't happen the first time. It's the 3trd time I run SR:LE and it's the first time ( except for my first installation) I had to start everything again cause it crashed / never finished loading on bed use after choosing a new start. I am now at the merging section, I'm 150% sure I did everything as the guide told me to do and I don't want to start everything again.
  5. Improved closefaced Helmets ESPs were removed because of Weapons and Armor fixes. The only mod I can see which needs a change because of CCO removal is Sharlikrans Compatibility Patches. Either remove it completly or install Jaysus Swords. EDIT: You'd have to change some rules with BUM so that BOSS sort the Requiem SIC Patch DLC2 after the Dragonborn one (edited the other post).
  6. I'm whiling to try SR:LE with Requiem and reading your posts a question came to my mind : Does MO supports the changes for SR Conflict Resolution patch on different profiles ? If so does this procedure look good to you ? 1. Copy the Skyrim Revisited MO profile into a new one for SR:LE Requiem, 2. Clean the SR Conflict Patch from CCO references with TES5Edit (remember to clean the masters for SRCP) 3. Uninstall CCO from the game with MCM Menu, 4. Deactivate CCO, its patches and Sharlikrans Compatibility ones within MO Mod List, 5. Install Requiem, the Resources and patches for Heartfire, DB, Falskaar, Wyrmstooth, SIC, DB SIC (and install Immersive Armor + IA patch + DSR IA Patch + Requiem IA patch to match the guide recent update), 6. Run BUM, select 'Requiem - SIC Patch - DLC2.esp', Create Override, AFTER 'Requiem - Dragonborn.esp', 7. Run BOSS for load order, Wrye Bash to recreate the Bashed Patch, then SUM for DSR, 8. Run the game Or am I missing something ?
  7. To take the weight off of Neo's shoulders, since he is so busy, could some of the more experienced users here take a shot at answering these questions? Tehy are pretty basic questions about the fundamental/intro stages of the install process. Thanks! 2. Check my post about CTDs I got because of a bad edit, on my part :Â https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=4661 Might not solve anything but, in doubt I'd recommend trying to launch the game with only the original ESMs un-edited, just to see if there still is a problem. Again it might not be relevant at all, it's just that I just had a huge problem on my clean install because of those files and those only. 7. I used the categories to check if everything ran correctly. At every new big category I'd run BOSS then SKSE Skyrim, and it worked and still work just fine.
  8. Ok Solved, editing the first post if it can help anyone.
  9. I thought trying to launch before final steps would cause CTD because some edits were not made, am I wrong ?
  10. It didn't work... I'll just start a new install as I have all the DDSOpt File already done and all the mods already downloaded, it shouldn't take too long. Thanks for the help anyway :D
  11. My guess is that's the DLC's esm that make me CTD, I might have done a wrong edit somewhere. Would it **** up everything if I replaced those with fresh ones ?
  12. I have to deactivate everything but Skyrim.esm and Update.esm to stop crashing
  13. Yes and it loaded everything properly.
  14. Hi everyone, Ok after spending a day and half install SR:LE, I enventually start SKSE through MO. That gorgeous Skyrim logo on that wonderful blackscreen (after that much hours installing stuff even this is wonderful to see :D) appears aaaaannddddd...CTD ! Papyrus tells me : [01/20/2014 - 02:54:13PM] Papyrus log opened (PC) [01/20/2014 - 02:54:13PM] Update budget: 1.200000ms (Extra tasklet budget: 1.200000ms, Load screen budget: 500.000000ms) [01/20/2014 - 02:54:13PM] Memory page: 128 (min) 512 (max) 76800 (max total) [01/20/2014 - 02:54:13PM] Cannot open store for class "dlc2hermaeusmorafacefxscript", missing file? [01/20/2014 - 02:54:13PM] Cannot open store for class "byohrelationshipadoptableurchinscript", missing file? Looks like I'm missing some of the Dragonborn and Heartfire files ? Is it because of a dirty TES5Edit of those on my part ? Do you know anyway of clearing it ? Please, please, pretty please I'm sure I've done everything right, and I can't stand it, I want to play ! EDIT: Ok the problem was coming from a conflict between the Cleaned Vanilla ESMs and the DLC Optimized files. In SR:LE the cleaning ESM guide asks you to delete what's on your MO Override folder. Actually, in my case at least, you don't have to. Just keep it that way, the clean files are not in the MO Override folder but are indeed the ones in the Skyrim/data folder. I did overwrite the 'so called clean' ones with the 'dirty backups' and it resulted in bad DDSOpt optimized files because I used the 'clean' ones before switching in DDSOpt. So right now I didn't even try to create any new DDSOpt optimized file from the true clean edits, I just run the game without any Optimized file, and GOD THAT RUNS GREAT !!!!!! Thanks a lot to Neo and everyone in this forum ! Now that I installed SR:LE I'm not turning back ! BOSSlog.html
  15. Haha thanks Smile, as it is your post that gave me the idea of going for an hybrid version, glad you're the one to answer me :D Great, so I'll go for a full SR:LE install, it seems way more convenient and cleaner than the SR one! Thanks a lot.
  16. Hi everyone, First I'd like to thanks Neovalen for putting so much effort into this, and everyone else for helping a lot on this forum. After using STEP I'd like to try SR, but with the guide being frozen for a while a few questions come to my mind. 1. Should I use the DDSOpt method used in SR:LE for the HRDLC even if I proceed onto a SR install ? IT takes so much times, the SR:LE version seems cleaner and quicker ? 2. The SR version of Langleys Wood Metal and Stone Texture Workshop seems to refer to one huge file and its update, but now on the nexus there are many separate files. Again trying to save some time, should I skip the cities, clutter and furniture files, as they seems to be skipped during the installation ? And a last one, I thought it could be nice to ditch some of the mods from SR, to use SR:LE ones, as it seems there are less of them while being more useful, does it seems feasible as some of you seem to run an hybrid version, or should I proceed in another way ? Of course I do not fear to take a "trial and error" road, but I would like some advice first. I hope my english isn't too bad, as it is not my native language and that I made myself clear :)
