I agree, this is one issue that has me considering whether to use a grass mod at all. However, i have found a number of solutions that mitigate the problem somewhat. Whilst this was created for Unbelievable Grass 2 (UBG2), the generic edits are still effective. As seen below. (pls note all screenshots are using Verdant but I am currently using UBG2 atm)

Try adding "Preserve_File = *_p.dds" under "COMMON" in the Ordenador ini file.

Thanks for guide :) Noticed in change log for Vigor 7.0 the removal of the "Attack Speed Fix". Have enabled the fix in Wildcat atm - unless there is a pref for it being enabled elsewhere.
