  1. I had to reinstall the mods and patches that were causing the cycle error. As to the dirty plugin, I have enabled and disabled a few mods by than to see where the error is. Other than that I have always ensured to clean every plugin via xEdit. It currently shows 0 dirty plugins
  2. That was actually really helpful thank you. I was able to start the game without hiccups. I added some survival mods and Loot says there is a cycle error. I am unsure how to remove it, Screenshots attached
  3. This seems to be the latest crash log. Is this the error: Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FF78B21B12F SkyrimSE.exe+0C7B12F mov r15d, [r14+0x3FC]? And if so what does it mean? As for the question how it stops loading: game window doesnt even open, a black frame is just appearing for about half a second on approx. 50% of the screen. Then it quits the "Mod organiser is locked" screen and returns control to me crash-2023-09-13-06-35-47.log crash-2023-09-13-06-35-47.log
  4. Game not starts means I try to use the SKSE launcher, it loads for a few seconds and then just stops. So Skyrim doesn’t open nor do I get an error message or anything else
  5. I finally managed to set up Steps Guide. The game starts when launched through SKSE launcher and everything seems to be working. However upon enabling any additional mod (I tried several one by one I.e. immersive creatures, Winterhold Restored, interesting NPCs), the game simply does not start. I sorted with Loot and resolved any yellow mistakes with xEdit. Can anybody tell me what to do in order to safely add mods? thanks a lot!
  6. @DoubleYouThanks a lot for the help. I managed that with your help. Now, while setting up SKSE I am running into what I think is a minor issue. As you can see in the screenshot my folder structure is supposed like the screenshot and it does but I do not have a meta.ini file and the STEP guide does not mention it beforehand. Will it be generated automatically?
  7. I am attempting to follow steps guide for modding Skyrim AE. But somehow I am currently stuck trying to install SKSE. Not sure whether I set up the data structure correctly and it would be a pain to invest another couple hours into it only to realise it was all for nothing. Does anyone know an in depth step by step guide I can follow for this? Steps guide itself is good, but some parts are not easy to replicate for me. If someone is willing to take a look at my approach directly and helps setting it up correctly I'd be willing to tip as well. Thanks a lot, really looking forward to start playing
  8. I’ve done that, but I cannot find a folder anywhere that is named Step Skyrim SE although the profile I created is named this way. Do I need anything else to “activate” that so it creates the respective folder automatically?
  9. Hey there, I am new to Skyrim modding despite having played the game for several years. I have followed the Step Guide very closely and up until now everything worked fine. However, during BethINI Initialization the game path and the mod organiser path seem to be correct but I do not manage to get the right INI path that reflects the profile I set up in MO beforehand. I tried reading all the instructions agains but simply don't see where I am going wrong. If anyone here could point me in the correct direction I would be very grateful. Cheers, Florian
