  1. Thanks for the reply, Aiyen. Does this theory mean that sooner or later the game will corrupt because of so many scripts? And is this a known issue that SR users have reported? Also, would it be possible to just do an update on my current SR setup when Neo updates SR or is a full install always recommended?
  2. First of all I would like to say thank you to all the creators and contributors of this phenomenal project. I've been browsing the forums to familiarize myself more with SR but still have a few questions. 1. While patching up some mods, I've noticed that some records are left with a red background/ red text and the instructions on SR do not say anything about fixing the record, is this normal? 2. The top of the SR page has a "Notice: This guide has been frozen while a replacement is created." - Is there a new version of SR coming soon and if there is, should I still go ahead and install the current one? I've been a STEP user since STEP's first days and recently made the change to SR so I don't know what to expect of an update to such a big project. 3. Is there anything I can do to help the development of SR? I took part in editing descriptions for the STEP wiki here and there a while ago.
  3. Thanks for the tips guys. I'm back on the modding grind and have a few questions about using TES5Edit to patch stuff up. I notice that after going through a complete patching process and double checking, there are still some nodes with orange/ brownish text but are not listed in the cleaning process for that mod. Is this normal or should I be manually checking for these and figuring out a way of making them green? Thanks in advance, as always. e; Just noticed the "This guide has been frozen while a replacement is created" at the top of the SR page". I am about 40% into the guide and wondering if I should keep going or just wait for the new version.
  4. Is this the official thread for SR + SkyRe? https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=2252
  5. Out of curiosity, does anyone here have SR and SkyRe working side by side? I know there's a thread attempting this.
  6. Question about SR; I am up to the Atlas Map Markers and it tells me that 2 esp's from this mod need cleaning. After running BOSS, these 2 esp's appear to be clean. Should I clean them anyways or is it possible that the mod author uploaded and cleaned version? Thanks in advance.
  7. Yea, it's amazing how all this virtual stuff happens. I had to test out if it was really installing the mods by activating and deactivating ely's alt+f4 exit because I'm so used to actually going to my data folder and seeing a ton of files. Wow.
  8. @rootsrat Thanks for the suggestions. I'm beginning to like MO as it seems a bit more polished than WB. I also used NMM to download my mods into my WB folder and this looks like it could kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I do hope I can still see conflicts clearly like I did in WB.
  9. I'm a purist type a guy who would play the same Skyrim with 500+ mods on warrior or mage. I don't see myself switching between profiles at all but the unpacking of bsa's and easier update tracking sure is interesting. Does unpacking bsa's really make that much of a difference that I should learn MO or should an old dog like me just stick to WB?
  10. Guess it's time to learn MO. Hopefully easier to learn than WB was. The one thing that bugs me about WB is that it can't automatically unpack bsa files like MO can...and that seems to be one of the necessary steps with SR. Gonna miss my WB. @rootsrat We can still conflicts with WB even if we use MO to install mods?
  11. I am switching from STEP to SR and wanted to know if I should keep using WB to install my mods or follow the MO guide for SR. I've always thought WB had more to offer and was more advanced. Any suggestions?
  12. Is this guide specifically for Skyrim Revisited or can it be used with a full STEP install? Looks very interesting~ After spending about 2 days installing STEP last week, I am now considering installing Skyrim Revisited which will probably take me over a week looking at all the patching that needs to be done. Would it be possible for these patches to be uploaded somewhere in the wiki for STEP/ SR users? Many many many hours could be saved by doing this and the possibility of errors can be greatly reduced, further streamlining the STEP/ SR cause :]
  13. You guys are legends. Thank you.
  14. I finished making the recommended patch for Guard Dialogue Overhaul and Skyforge Steel Weapons from Book of silent and despite me following all instructions, the patch comes out with update.esm and amidianborn_skyforge_weapons.esp being in am orange checkbox in WB. I tried it 2 times and no change. I understand this from WB guide but there were no changes I made to these files. All the package files are installed, but the .esp/.esm plugins are not identical (eg. another package has overwritten them with another version of the plugins). Is this normal or should they all be green?
  15. I downloaded BUM and it is indeed essential when you have over 400 mods like me. Would it be safe to ignore the last part of the instructions since I use Wrye Bash? Navigate to /overwrite and move the new file(s) to /mods/Acquisitive Soul Gems. Looking at Neo's Skyrim Revisited there are lots of patches that need to be made in order to have a smooth running Skyrim Is it possible that these patches can be made and uploaded somewhere for STEP users? There could be a document explaining what each patch does and an order list to show STEP users how to organize everything using BUM (everything from https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited#Guard_Dialogue_Overhaul copy and pasted in doc) This will streamline STEP even more.
  16. Also, are these steps necessary or can I just leave ASG-AWE-Patch.esp on the bottom of the load list and be good? Thanks again. Open Boss Userlist Manager. Select ASG-AWE Patch.esp in the lower-left pane. Click the "AFTER" selection box and select "BOTTOM". In the adjacent text box type "Compatibility Patches" and click [save Rule]. Close Boss Userlist Manager and click [Yes] when prompted to save. Navigate to /overwrite and move the new file(s) to /mods/Acquisitive Soul Gems.
  17. Kelmych, you are legend. Thank you.
  18. So I'm doing my 50th installation of STEP within the last 2 years (and enjoying it). Something about downloading all these mods and carefully organizing them in WB that is truly satisfying, or maybe I just need some mental treatment? :] I've already installed all mods and now I'm going into the final stages of making them all work together. Acquisitive Soul Gems and Animated Weapon Enchants needs a small compatibility patch and I'm following these instructions; Open TES5Edit. Select "Acquisitive Soul Gems.esp" and Animated Weapon Enhants.esp then click [OK]. Expand "Magic Effect" under Acquisitive Soul Gems.esp and select the "0005B452" node. Right-click on Acquisitive Soul Gems.esp column and select "Copy as Override into...". Select "" and click [OK]. In the resulting text box type "ASG-AWE Patch". Drag the "Enchant Shader" from Animated Weapon Enchants.esp into ASG-AWE Patch.esp. Click the [X] in the upper right hand corner, uncheck "Backup plugins", and click [OK].I am lost at the Drag "Enchant Shader" part. I see a red text "Enchant Shader" under the magic object tab of Animated Weapon Enchants but I've looked around for about 2 hours and find no way to drag and drop it elsewhere. Can someone enlighten me about this? Thanks in advance.
