For the time being, I've "solved" this by installing the No Skeleton Idle Sound mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30542) which gets rid of those noises entirely. If anyone has a clue as to how to just lower the volume while keeping the sound, it would be appreciated!

I installed the STEP guide and just went into a dungeon. I don't know which mod is altering this, but the skeletons in these dungeons are uncomfortably loud. Even worse, the sound persists even when I am nowhere near them - I'm talking I'm literally a floor or two below with several walls and ceilings in between and they sound like they are not only beside me, but are running their bone grinding through an amplifier so bad it drowns out everything else! Any ideas what mod needs tweaking to actually get these under control?

I was just about to report the same thing as I am going through the STEP process for the first time. The mod (possibly an updated version - he said he was updating some of his mods, but did not specify which) will be posted on his new profile here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/users/93612203. Hopefully someone who has a bit more understanding of the process can answer, but is skipping this mod going to cause any major issues with the remainder of the guide? Additionally, if someone were to complete the rest of it and want to install this later when it is re-released, what would the process look like to get this installed into the existing mod list?
