  1. Ok, I took ScreenShot's of one of those "conjurors table" areas outside in bright day light to compare what the different settings do, and each of the 5 pics I took for the different settings for gamma, hdr combos ..including one pic with RCRN "off" (pause button)....... looks the same! I'm not even going to upload the pics, trust me. The surface of the table is what I concentrated on and no change at all between pics. The only SS's I can take are with the "print screen" button and they show up in my main skyrim directory as a BMP with a file name like this: enb 2014_02_16 14_10_33_27 It looked the same in game too between the pics, except for when I pressed "pause" to deactivate RCRN, of coarse. Any ideas? I even uninstalled enboost "with no gfx" through RCRN and the game was f'd up. FPS went to nothing and the flora were just big black squares.
  2. I'll try and take screenshots. I haven't done that yet. Not sure what button to push. I'll probably have to turn off my Xb360 gamepad for the keyboard to work for screenies, right? Also, I have all the STEP recommended mods like SKSE/SkyUI/Ely's Alt-F4/RCRN :) /ENBoost, ummmmm what else could change the screenshot button?? Anyway, I long for a more detailed explanation of what the new Brightness setting does, and how the other settings might interact with its' settings. Maybe I will make a thread with screens for comparison... once I figure out how "I" will have to do that. Help? OH, and I do believe it is installed properly. Everything works and looks like it should/better, but I just get this feeling like it's more overexposed than it used to be... (bloom? I think I have it "down"...if that's possible even, I'm not at my SR PC and can't remember if Bloom can be changed, doh!)
  3. I've done it! Easier than I thought and.. thank you! But I have one question: I have changed many options/combinations in the Customizer to get less washout on bright surfaces, but I can't find a setting/combo that dosn't...say, make the ground surface in the marsh tooooooo bright. How do I get darker brightness for the light "surfaces" without darkening darker "surfaces"? I came from RCRN 3.6 and I loved the contrast/brightness of that. That change in RCRN AE is shocking in this respect and I may go back to RCRN 3.6... as detail is sooooo lost on sunny days. Anyone? Thanks. :)
  4. Not yet! I've been playing the game recently...sooooo 8) I have RCRN 3.6 without volumetric fog (BTW: Every day I can't believe it looks as good as it does on my 52in LCD!!!), epsecially indoors with ELFX, TPC, SMIM, Vivid Landscapes, ETAC no inns... Anyway, I'll get there and I'll tell my story here. I have a 2 year old that terrorizes me when I'm trying to use the keyboard on the couch! :) Sig; **I use Mod Organizer**
  5. Thanks keithinhanoi! Heading over there now! :) :) :)
  6. 'Doh! Why didn't I think of that for managing RCRN's shader, etc. files installed in the /skyrim directory?! What brilliant idea - a bit of a hack, but very useful to be able to "switch" off RCRN's shaders (which would still remain even if you "turned off" the /data assets part of the mod in Mod Organizer.) Thanks for mentioning that, and I'll do some more investigation into whether I can add that to my guide in an "Advanced Users" section at the bottom. Thanks for the RCRN install through MO instructions! Though I am still waiting to do it... Do you have any updates for me before I go ahead and do this? Do I really have to do it with a clean profile? Meaning, how would other mods get overwritten if I did it with my profile with the full mod list checked? I thought MO doesn't overwrite files from other mods.. it just puts them in a priority order and that order can be changed... What BAD things will happen if RCRN is installed with a 'simpler' method using my current profile? Thanks for any further clarification and/or instructions. :)
  7. Thanks Aiyen! Very good explanation! I will be looking for it (ENB for 'sunrays') after I get some answers from the RCRN and MO teams before I update either of them. Once they are updated and Nexus is working, of course. I know 'godrays' was probably not correct, hence the single quotes. Thanks, "the more you know"! I purchased a hi end system just for SR and I will only use RCRN with ELFX. Why, cause it's the one that gives me the biggest improvement over vanilla AND allows me to stay at 60fps 99% of the time. I use a gamepad, and I like MY view of the world to be smooth ALL THE TIME in both movement and camera panning. (I am very good with analog sticks, I can 3D RC helicopters). To me, maintaining 60 FPS is not that big of an issue when using mouse-and-keyboard, as both movement and camera panning are "spastic" already. Anyway, I want to thank the RCRN team for ALL THEIR EFFORTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! **One point of advice, please get on the Mod Organizer bandwagon and give us MO users complete and carefully detailed install instructions. I am currently using 3.6 and would like to upgrade, but I am scared. I have (MO has allowed) 250+ mods and 160+ ESP's (with just 2+ months of learning and modding SR), and I would like to not worry something may go wrong if I update RCRN. PLEASE RE-ASSURE ME... :) Thanks, Jay (note: I edited these posts for readability due to your answering one of the questions, thanks again Aiyen) My ESP's load order from BOSS, just for fun: BOSS Version 2.1.1 ====================================== Summary ====================================== Plugin Type Count Recognised (or sorted by user rules) 159 Unrecognised 1 Inactive 9 All 160 Plugin Message Type Count Warning 0 Error 1 All 24 * Your masterlist has been updated to revision 7780 (2013-11-28). * Note: Latest BOSS thread ("http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1472899-relz-boss-for-skyrim/") * Note: The BOSS team has been overwhelmed with the popularity of submissions of unrecognised plugins from the BOSS Log and the number of outstanding unique submissions. 8. I unpacked all of the mods' BSA's through MO during install (except ETAC and it's patches as per recommendation on mod page). It will be great if MO will tell me I can deactivate the ESP's that are no longer needed 'cause the BSA was extracted. I have not updated MO yet as I'm a little scared I will loose my heavily modded but (somehow, hehe) functioning game. Please reassure me that I can update without loosing anything at all, ie RCRN 'cause it is semi-auto installed (which took a few tries and blind luck to get to work through MO).
  9. The only thing I wish I had for 3.6 is 'godrays'. I know I could have them but was waiting for RCRN AE to "finish" to go ahead and try to get 'godrays' in my game. So, is there a "NEW" recommended method/ENB that can add godrays and nothing else, giving LITTLE to NO FPS loss? Thanks, Jay
  10. I am looking to un-enable some esp's too.. Will mod organizer 1.0.9 help me do that? I went through step, 3 months, 750 +$ for new cpu/mobo/gfx/ssd just for SR+mods, then requiem + extra mods I think/hope are compatible, +patches, bossed/tes5edit/by hand/repeat all+++++/bashed+++++/you know, and 120+hrs in game (steam total), memclean 1m/2m, 50+hrs after requiem/expanded towns & cities complete/better docs modular MINUS *Dawnstar*/new save(at least 10nth new game save)... "I still crash near dawnstar 90+% of the time with ETAC complete installed on top of all v'THIS'v, it could be something else, but I'd like to keep ETAC - I think, unless) ********************************************** *************************************************** ..ASG-AWE??..i'd like to get rid of i think, it comes from STEP. Is it BS? What other STEP mods are not needed with all ^THE^ good stuff?! If MO can help with pointing out ESP's that don't need to be enabled, that would be great! let me know, for crying out loud... hahahha! I've cleaned up dawnstar a little... ~tdetect-so-no more tomatoes/apple/bottles/clutter in the ETAC parts of dawnstar. 10+ hours to get dawnstar to work (at all), + a game restart.. patience is a virtue in SR modding! thanks! :)
  11. Hi, Bumping an old thread here, but I have the same issue and I can not find a solution. Hours...trying, researching...nothing. So, how does one select the correct MOD PATH when launching BUM through MO? I have a working mod list of 239 mods and 140 esp's, but this... no info and no solution. I just don't want to sort my esp by hand anymore after running BOSS. Thanks :) Edit: I went ahead and plowed through it even though there is no explanation specific to using it through MO. I haven't tried it in game yet but I'll come back if I need to update. What I did: I just browsed to "skyrim.esm" because that's what the popup said was missing. LAME! When using MO; this is not the "mod path" AND "skyrim.esm" is not a "folder"... Please update somewhere so it's easier to find and understand for us using the best mod manager. THANKS. (wasted 4 hours on this one thing 'cause I hate moving forward if I'm not sure). I want my $0.00 back! ;)
