  1. I know I said I was done with changes and was just going to play the game now, but here I am again. This might not be the right forum for this question, but I've got an immersion issue I'd like to fix. I've tried googling and couldn't find anything for the SE version of Skyrim only legacy. Is there a mod or a simple creation kit change I could make to either completely remove the player location arrow from the map or change the arrow icon to just a circle that wouldn't interfere with any of the other mods in this guide? I know about the No GPS mod for the old version, but couldn't find something similar for SE.
  2. awesome, thanks! Couple hours to go waiting for the lodgen stuff and then I'm up and running again. Will not look at Nexus again until I finish all the LOTD stuff. Not going down that rabbit hole again. LOL. Thanks again for the guide!
  3. Is the Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - Immersive Horses Patch referenced in a LOOT error required or is that fixed by one of the custom patches?
  4. The Nexus version of the main guide has a bad link in section 64.6 [Lexy's LOTD Special Edition Consistency Patches]. The "Merge Page" link in that section takes you to the STEP merge page instead of the Nexus merge page.
  5. After you create a merge and activate it click on the puzzle icon in Mod Organizer. From that drop down choose "Merge Plugins Hide". In the pop up right click on the Merged mod you just made and choose "Disable Plugins". Close the window.
  6. Well that works too. LOL. Sooo. I got a couple hours into my game and started to dual wield like I usually end up doing and realized there's no dual wield blocking included in any of these combat mods which was always a must for me in past mod setups. Found the SJG dual wield block/parry mod so I'm happy now. I saw you post that there was another update to the stable Nexus version changing out the horse stuff so I might as well do those now too since I have to redo the bashing and smashing anyway to add in dual wield block. Since I'm redoing all this I'm curious if anyone has any additional mod suggestions for me. I already had everything from the guide plus these: Complete Widescreen Fix and all related patches Cassi - Healing mage follower (Toccata will be changed from guide to destruction mage probably) Populated Cities Towns and Villages Populated Lands Roads and Paths Immersive World Encounters Hunterborn Hunterborn SE MCM Hunting in Skyrim Woodsman Shack Any other additions anyone would recommend to go with what I've already chosen? Hoping to make this the only rebuild before I ignore any guide changes and just play the game. Legacy Skyrim I'm sure I had more time spent on Nexus and MO than actually playing the game. Hoping to not repeat that, but I'm already ~40hrs in the hole. LOL
  7. suggestion for MCM section of the guide. Save and exit after finishing the MCM setup. Move the Campfire, Frostfall, and Fuz Ro D-oh files out of the Overwrite folder and into their mod folders. Not a biggie, I just don't like seeing the exclamation point in MO every time I open it if they're left in Overwrite.
  8. Thank you very much for the guide Lexy! Decided to start playing Skyrim again after a 3-4 year break and jumped straight into the stable version of your guide on the Nexus. Getting everything installed took me almost two weeks of a couple hours here and there, probably almost 40hrs total, but I only ran into three small hiccups during the whole process: 1. I was changing all the .tga files to hidden until you let me know they aren't needed in SE so it's easier and saves space to just delete them. That one wasn't a guide issue, but a me issue since I hadn't modded SE before and didn't research enough. 2. Ran into a cyclic error running LOOT after the merged patches with NSUTR. Came here and saw you had already posted the fix of pulling pro....roof.esp out of the merge. Redid the merge following your new directions and everything worked. 3. I think I picked a bad time to start as there were a few mod updates and two guide updates between when I started and finished. Nothing unbearable, just more changes than I was expecting for an 8 year old game. Very thorough and well laid out guide. I managed to install everything and threw in about half a dozen additional mods. The only suggestion I would have is to add a disclaimer at the start of the guide to save a local html copy of the guide when you start. Once you've finished downloading and installing everything check the changelog and make any required updates before continuing on to the zMerge section. I didn't do this and almost had issues due to some mods being removed and others being added, but I caught that the guide had updated and was able to make the changes on the fly. I think doing what I am suggesting definitely would have been easier though. I've ran and ported around to random places for a couple hours and everything seems to be working with no CTD yet so it's time to play! Thanks again for the guide!
  9. Running through all the steps in the guide now and here's something that may be useful to include. There are many textures that need to be deleted or hidden, as is noted for each mod that needs it, but there's an easy way to do it if you don't want to actually delete the files or individually click on each file in MO2 and mark as hidden. 1. Open Powershell in the folder that contains the .tga files This folder for example: \mods\OMEGA AIO\textures\actors\character\facegendata\facetint\OMEGA Populated.esp 2. Type the following command: dir *.tga | rename-item -newname {[io.path]::ChangeExtension($_.name,"tga.mohidden")} Every .tga file in that folder will be changed to .tga.mohidden in less than a second.
