Merge plugin was unable to find my file paths so I had to manually set them up. I just don't have a file path for the Papyrus flags folder and It won't let me manually set one up. I think it's supposed to be created when I installed one of the utilities and it didn't auto-create. I'm just looking for what error I made so that I can correct it.

While everyone is upset over the new changes to loot... Has anyone else had a problem with Blowing in the wind, Claralux and ETAC recognizing each other? Blowing in the wind wants Claralux - SSE.exe. ETAC wants to see Claralux SSE.exe. I have tried renaming the claralux file with the hyphen and ETAC gives me an error message in loot. While the original name without the hyphen works for ETAC I get an error message in loot from ETAC when I change the file name of Claralux with a hyphen. What is the suggested fix here?

So, I have downloaded and installed ALL of the required mods. I have followed all of the prerequisite instructions. I have watched all of the instructional videos produced by Gamer Poets and Dirty Weasel explaining how to perform this complicated procedure. I am officially stuck. I have reached the point in the instructions where I need to merge mods so that I do not overload my game. For some reason I cannot get Merge plugins to function. I start up the utility and go to settings to set up my file paths. I am unable to get the plugin to recognize a file folder for my Papyrus flags path. I tried creating a folder in the location Michael from GamerPoets has his. I named it what his is named and I cannot get the utility to recognize it. Without that file path, I cannot activate the "handle script fragments" check box that I need to get the utility to function. Anyone have any ideas what I did wrong and how I can fix it? I cannot go any further in the guide until I can get these plugins merged as there are well over 300 plugins installed currently.

I closed MO2 and walked away for a couple of hours. I came back, read the answering post and thought to myself, "great, not only am I asking stupid questions but, even the people helping me now think I'm stupid!" I opened up MO2 to try again and THERE IT WAS!!! Honest, when I closed MO2 and walked away, I couldn't get it to recognize those files but, I suppose "turning it off and on again" worked this time!

and again another noob question from me... The instructions are as follows: Into the newly created Cleaned Vanilla ESMs Inside MO2/Mods folder. Once you have cleaned and created a mod from the Cleaned ESM' you can restore the original UNCLEANED ones backed earlier to the DATA folder. This preserves an absolutely clean Skyrim/Data directory and also allows our modded profile to run with the modified, cleaned vanilla ESM files. To finish up the cleaning, perform the following: * Start Mod Organizer. * Verify the "Legacy Of The Dragonborn - Special Edition" profile is the currently selected. * Drag the newly created mod "Cleaned Vanilla ESMs" Above the "SKSE Scripts" mods in the left pane and activate it by checking the box. After cleaning and backing up all of the referenced files, Mod Organizer is not recognizing them as a mod when I navigate to the specified newly created folder in my mod organizer 2 file directory. I am also having trouble getting mod organizer 2 to recognize some other mods that I have used in previous run throughs as mods when I download them. I am obviously doing something incorrectly yet, I have followed all of the instructions so far. I downloaded these other mods as part of completing the mod organizer tutorial and couldn't complete it as MO2 wouldn't recognize them as mods.

Lassin, Thank you very much for your timely reply. I'm very appreciative of your efforts to help me. I watched 5 or 6 videos on using tes5edit and I found Gamerpoet's to be the most comprehensive yet, Gopher's OCD answered my specific question of where to find the files being referenced. (He stated in the video that he just liked to open these files to watch them out of control issues.) Open SSEEdit and load only Dawnguard.esm Once loaded Left click and open CELL > Block 5 > Sub-Block 3 > select 00016BCF. Scroll down the view window on the right to find XEZN subrecord referring to RiftenRatwayZone [ECZN:0009FBB9]. Right click and select Remove. I have located the referenced cells and subrecords now yet, I right click on the subrecord ECZN:0009FBB9 and I can not find any pull down menu item that gives me the ability to remove the subrecord as instructed. Has anyone else had this problem or is there something very basic that I'm just too new to see?

Click the [X] in the upper right hand corner, uncheck "Backup plugins", and click [OK]. I am very much a latecomer to this party but, I'm so glad that I found it. I have reached the cleaning of the expansions portion of the guide and I am unable to figure out what the above portion of the instructions refers to. I load Dawnguard.esm in SSEdit and I am unable to figure out where I can open the referenced cells. I have tried left clicking in all of the various portions of the editing screens and I still can't figure out this part of the instructions. I realize that I am not an experienced modder but, I am eager and willing to learn how this process works. Any help navigating this will be appreciated.

I am so very glad that you have taken the time to help users with this. The sheer time and energy that you have invested in helping those less familiar with these tools is amazing! I am having some trouble with finding some of the core files to download. It looks like you updated the "Lexys LOTD Special Edition Patches" yesterday and have changed the name of the necessary file for the tool "The great equalizer - patching script". I am just uncertain which of the very many files on that particular page on Nexus is the required file. There is a mention of MLU on a smaller file labeled "MLU - NPC Retexture conflict resolution". So, I installed both that file and the main file at the top labeled "Lexys LoTD SE - conflict resolution" as this file has the "necessary file" label. I am also having a problem finding the "C++ visual studio x86" on the Microsoft site. It seems that Microsoft has reorganized their downloadable files on their site and made it harder to find this file.
