  1. That was one of the mods I didn't include, so perhaps it'll work out? I'm still a bit nervous to see how the vampires, and specifically Serana and Valerica, turn out. I have to say though, that one of the reasons I did more than just boot the game was because I'd been playing with a lot of vanilla settings, aside from some visual mods here and there, and I liked seeing the changes as I added more. So now I've finally got the game running, it's gorgeous, and thank you!
  2. Yes, because that is what is suggested at the top of the guide. I was not prepared to spend two days downloading and installing and then have a crash and not have any idea what the cause was. Also, that was the only section I had any problems with.
  3. I was able to "fix" this by installing the mods in their listed order and making no changes to their original file structures. I'm not sure what that means or how much of a problem this may cause me in the future, but I don't know why it didn't work.
  4. I installed everything in the NPC Retextures section per instructions, tested my game, and everyone affected has the black face bug. I know that this is usually a load order issue, but am I missing something? I do have the NPC Retexture Merge installed, but I did notice that I don't have either of the 3DNPC files. Will this fix my issue, or did I screw up somewhere?
  5. Ah, okay. So you're not actually removing it from that left pane?
  6. I have a question about BSA Extraction in MO2. So, I've extracted the BSAs and the file shows up in the left pane. The instructions say to delete the dummy esp, but from where? Do I just Remove in the left pane, or leave it unchecked?
  7. I think it's fixed? But I don't know how. So, I had deleted MO2. Just got rid of it. Downloaded a new archive copy, launched it, and it remembered settings which I don't understand. I must have just missed a file somewhere. Where I think this may or may not cause problems is in this step in the Prerequisites section: Create a new folder called Mod Organizer 2 - Lexys LOTD SE (or something you would Recognize easily) in the Root of a Drive (so you have some like E:\Mod Organizer 2 - Lexys LOTD SE). Extract the contents of the downloaded Zip file to the folder created in Step 1 Run ModOrganizer.exe A popup box should appear, asking you to "choose an Instance" pick Portable A 2nd popup should appear; from the drop-down menu pick Skyrim Special Edition A 3rd popup should appear asking if you want to see the tutorial. Those who are new to Mod Organizer 2 should select Yes. Those who are very familiar with it should Select No. A 4th popup should appear stating that 'Mod Organizer is not set up to handle nxm links. Associate it with nxm links?' The recommended response is Yes, as this will allow Mod Organizer 2 to handle Nexus file links. I tried to create the MO2 directory in the root of my C: drive, but after I created it, I had to close it and it wouldn't launch again. I rebooted and it seems to be fine? But I don't know that it will continue to be. I'm reasonably comfortable with MO2, but this was just odd. This is also the first time I've installed MO2 outside of my Steam directory, so it's likely me not understanding the functionality.
  8. Hi all. So I've got an odd problem. I decided to revert to vanilla and use Lexy's guide, but then I ran into weirdness when installing and using Mod Organizer. I know that the default background is white, and I've done a reinstall before and had a white background, but this time, on a new install, it opened with the dark background I'd been using before and didn't prompt me for an instance, or for the game. It also had leftover exe's from my previous install. So, where would this elusive file that remembers my old MO settings be hanging around? I've looked everywhere I can think to, but I can't find anything.
