  1. hey guys:) the picture in Vanilla only do look awful indeed... regardless if Non-ENB-patch applied or not^^ Have to say, I design all my mods while using ENB, they work best with it's parallax correction. The non-ENB patches are more like an emergency bugfix, don't bring up half the attention for them... As others wrote, most of us do use a personalized ENB setup. Though I can understand easily why you can't imply that in your decisions... testing would NEVER stop:) P.s The signs themselves do use only a normal map, no parallax map. For the Non-ENB version I couldn't apply parallax without distortions on stone-surfaces, so I skipped it entirely.
  2. I edited the UV-maps in the first place to make parallax work proper. Though I could add an update with adapted more original-like UV-maps Have to say I like their contrasty vertical/horizontal orientation, it looks some more craggy imo
  3. Oh damn!Have you applied the Non-ENB-patch? Hoped I sorted out all moving formations, it seems I've overseen one... Could you please add a pic of your map location so I can reedit it and add it to the patch? :) I have not, I'll do that real quick.... Done. That fixed it! Sorry for the heart attack! Haha! WOW ... Ewis looks like a fantastic alternative. I will add this to the compare as well. Also, SMIM half-sized and ultra-sized variants are only textures, not meshes... and they have very little impact in my experience. I first started using Ewis because I was so sick of the vanilla grey paint and have really grown to love it. Here a quick compare video that someone did for more interest: [video=youtube]https-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QErcyQ_0pA Yes, Ewi's textures do look really nice indeed:)They also work with my parallax maps cause they use nearly the same high/depth values. The "Meshes only" package i provide on RS&M page is a nice way to let them work together, Ewi seems to share my opinion about that, we are in contact;)

  5. Yes, for "All in One" package I use the high detailed Smim meshes, they work just fine on my old dual core rig. I may provide lower poly-meshes too, not sure if needed. Are you experiencing performance loss using high-poly Smim outdoors?
  6. hey techangel85 and z929669! hope we are consent about the mesh-origin now ;) No problem at all z929669, it's nice to see how careful and accurate your community treads the uptake of new mods :)
  7. hey Sparrowprince ;) Yes, I had do redo/rescale many UV-maps, they weren't neat enough to allow parallax, without a strong ENB correction the textures tended to flip around. I did it also to increase details on some of the smaller rocks BTW. I'm not sure what your talking about, I haven't increased the poly-count, only the UV-mapping. Those higher poly-meshes probably are the Smim meshes I adapted. The only mesh-related program I use so far is Nifskope Would never ever smooth down rocks by automatics ;)
  8. Please use the saves I created. Mine are clean saves based on a clean character, and my saves represent 7 locations in different regions of Skyrim, capturing the various landscapes. This way we have a direct compare. Savegames are linked in the OP What mod are active in your "vanilla" clean saves? Whenever I've ever used your "vanilla" saves that you've uploaded, I also end up getting the "missing content" warning before loading them from my vanilla profile. My vanilla profile in only the vanilla game files with the addition of the Unofficial Patches. Anything more and it wouldn't be a vanilla game. I do use Immersive HUD because it makes taking screenshots a lot easier, but if I upload a save I always clean it from having iHUD present so it's pure vanilla. I am testing against the proposed core background ... see the MT restricted thread for details I went ahead and further examined the other install options for RS&M, and it looks like all meshes are the same as the ones I had used in the original compare (at least with respect to stretching if not parallax). OK, here is the problem (and I hope that someone else at least acknowledges that this is indeed a problem o_O ) Left image is RS&M Classic Gray with its own meshes ... wow, look at that stretched and unwieldy textures! Right image is same but with No Stretching & SMIM meshes ... FIXED! I'll say it again: Unless we overwrite the RS&M meshes with those from No Stretching and SMIM, the mountain textures are a backslide to the unfixed vanilla meshes. This is a problem. Anyone disagree with my assessment? In all honesty, I don't see any stretching. I even looked at them in full size outside of the gallery and still could see any. I see some vertical meshes and have been flipped to horizontal meshes in the "fixed" version; however, whether vertical of horizontal they still appear to be the same quality just with a different orientation. The other changes between the two versions also don't appear to be stretching to me. Just different meshes. Perhaps it's the screens or the distance, but I honestly don't see anything that I would call stretching. I will test in my own setup to confirm or debunk. Where in the Core load order are you placing Rocking Stones? To be honest, RS&M shows even less stretching than No Stretching Meshes, during editing the UV-maps I upscaled some of them slightly ;)
  9. hey z929669 Hehe, yes I am the author ;) I have incorporated "No-stretching-meshes" and newest "Smim-meshes", they may not always be recognizable, on some of them I edited the UV-map heavily to allow parallax. Parallax effect itself is not bound to ENB, all my mods are working also with Vanilla graphics. For Rocking Stones I do provide a Non-ENB - VanillaEngine patch (unfortunately some meshes aren't working without ENB, so it's needed). Btw: hey SparrowPrince! nice to see you here :)
  10. The only problem for now is the "extra wet rocks"-patch, I have to consult SparrowPrince again. Parallax and Environment mapping seem not do work together
  11. If there are any further questions about Rocking Stones Parallax, pm me ;)
  12. Hey techangel85 :) Hope you recieved the message I sent you via Nexus
