    The nature of Skyrim’s scripting language, Papyrus, means that, even following this procedure, your Papyrus log will continue to throw errors about missing scripts, potentially leading to save game bloat. There is, lamentably, nothing that I can do about this -- you have been warned.
  • Template:Yes I've not made a decision yet on this mod, but I'd like to raise a few points. One, has anyone actually tried uninstalling the mod to see if the papyrus log does throw errors? I know the author mentions it, but I've seen other mods where the warnings seem more dire than the actual reality of the situation. I've taken a look at how this mod was made (the source files were included in the bsa), and it seems very clean. It doesn't make changes or add scripts to existing references, (it uses newly created quests & aliases to apply changes) and none of the scripts have an Update call. The sort of things that I've generally been told to look out for in scripts added by mods don't seem to be present in this mod. Two, if this mod is creating errors on uninstall and we nix it for that reason, then we probably need to evaluate every single mod that contains scripts to make certain they don't also do this. I highly doubt that the issue is specific to this mod, and I don't want to see this mod get removed while we simultaneously decide to keep other mods that create the same issue (but whose mod authors weren't aware of or didn't feel the need to warn others about it). Three, doesn't SKSE's ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 correct just this sort of problem? Maybe the better solution is to include this fix in the guide. Kryptopyr (talk) 06:55, June 8, 2013 (MDT)
  • I think this warrants being tested (Tech).
  • I am of the belief that this mod can be properly uninstalled by stopping the quest in question and it fixes a glaring hole. Additionally, we do not advise users to install/uninstall mods mid play-through no? Neovalen

  • Template:Yes Fixes missing collision in vanilla. Only recommend the optional "no spell" version as the main version isn't vanilla friendly because it adds a non-vanilla spell. (Tech)
I haven't had a chance to use this mod enough to feel comfortable voting for it, but my understanding is that the spell is included as a way to fix the potentially game-breaking problem of barricading oneself into a room or other space with no way to get around or through the bodies. If this is the case, and the spell was added to solve a potential problem with the mod, then I feel we should not be recommending the "no spell" version. (krypt)

  • Template:Yes Essentially this is built into most Windows programs. Why it wasn't built into Skyrim is a mystery. Alt+F4 is the standard close key combination in Windows 8 and is used often. (Tech)
  • Template:Yes Also, this plugin allows multimedia function keys (ie: volume up/down) to be used in-game. As a additional effect. (William)

Fast Travel Timescale Fix[edit | edit source]

Acquisitive Soul Gems[edit | edit source]

  • Template:No I just want to point out that this mod does make a non-lore-friendly change in only permitting souls to be captured by white soul gems of correct size. This is inconsistent with the way that soul gems have worked in Oblivion and Morrowind as well as Skyrim, and therefore, I believe this was an intentional choice made by Bethesda and not an oversight. However, I personally feel that the bug fixes made by this mod are significant enough to warrant overlooking this in favor of including the mod in Core STEP. (kryptopyr)

I agree. There aren't a huge number of mods that directly edit these vanilla quests. And even without a compatibility patch, the worst thing that happens is that the conflicting mod gets installed after EBQO and reverts the objectives back to their vanilla state.
