I will at some stage, likely Friday night after mowing the lawns... eyeball this for mod updates and change if I can. I think you said in the other thread you're running off a normal platter HDD? If so there's a lot of the issue. It can take quite a time to load for me and I have an SSD. With your crashing, check you have Crash Fixes set up correctly first.

Uninstall Skyrim via STEAM. Then delete anything left in the Skyrim directory. Reinstall Skyrim, reinstall any needed tools. Start up Skyrim once to set everything back up again. If you have all your tools like LOOT, Wrye Bash etc in a folder outside the Skyrim folder, you wont need to reinstall them, just reconfigure if anything's changed. Then I always clean up my Downloads directory and start over with fresh mod downloads.

Have a look through the merges page. You might find there's some you can do already, like the Better Quest Objectives one and the Animals one. I do the ones I can do as I go.

Even easier. When you're doing a merge, don't load every single esp/esm. Move the one's you're merging to the end of your load order. Then when the list of esps and esms pops up, just deselect all of them, and then just select the ones you're going to merge. Any other esps etc that are required masters will show up as red italics. All you need to do is select them as well, then do your merge. Should not be an issue after that.

Your call. I'd install it the same time as Falskaar. That way if any following mods offer patches you can install them as you go rather than go back and add them after. You'd then use the supplied CR patch and add onto it to fix any issues you find with Wyrmstooth. That will be easier then rolling it up from complete scratch.

You should see a little button in the toolbar that has a little green plus sign on it. Click that and navigate to the SKSE file. Should be pretty follow your nose after that.

First thing I'd do is make sure your Stunning Statues of Skyrim install is correct. That often causes this sort of issue. doing something like not naming the 'statuessnow' folder correctly often does this. EDIT: Ninjaed by DarkladyLexy...

Just for the record: While Lexy/Darth and yes even this little black duck are looking now at SSE, I will still be keeping an eye on the Oldrim guide too. It will likely be maintained in legacy format with the only changes being version updates etc, but it won't be completely abandoned.

I think you could probably do any of them on MO2 if you wanted. Have a close look at what's overwriting what, though. You might have to extract a few ba2's to see it, though. But that's not super hard.

Yeah well I did use 2.1.1 and it's rock solid, aside from the ba2 issue. Ignore the bits about symlinks if you do use Gernash's one.

It's also worth noting that Gernash's is the only one that has MO2 suggested as the Mod manager. MO2 now seems pretty solid, aside from the BA2 extractor not working, so you'd need a BA2 extractor if you wanted to use that. If you're happy to use NMM, use the top one. Am actually thinking of reinstalling birait's again and tinkering with it some.

Have tried all of em. The top one works pretty well, but I added a bit on top of it and ended up getting ILS issues. Having said that it was more likely my fault. It's probably the most up to date. The second one is what I'm using now. Couple of very rare CTD's but no real issues as yet. The third one is pretty full on. Lots of extra textures etc. Will take some time to install. But it seemed solid for me.

Yeah it can take some time to load. Considering you have to load all the mods. It takes a while. Not sure what your system is, but the better the system is helps.

Your call, really. The files the merge isn't overwriting is probabaly just the meta.ini files for each mod in the merge. If you can see everything else in the merge aside from those, you can fully uncheck the mods. If not, or you want to be careful, just move all the esps or untick them.

I didn't get home to 9 Am. I'd not had a single (alcoholic) drink aside from one champagne at midnight and a beer after the show. I was busy mixing a few live bands. (And doing a damn fine job of it too, I should add. Then again, not many musos argue with a 6 foot tall near 280 pound guy who used to play front row forward or on the offensive line, and can could snap em like twigs. :)) And then jamming with a few people later. I even did some singing, and they let me free on the drums. Those poor, deluded people. Time just flew.
