I get it trying to open the configurator.

Just seen this I told him to delete that comment on Nexus and he said it didnt work but didn't see his Ini's myself

hard not to assume what is very basic to me is for others but even so looks like it got him to register on here

 

One thing he said that I never think about as I use AdBlock, was hope STEP doesn't have Ads

I checked using my unused IE and posted on Nexus No Ads on STEP

If it helps folks to register all the better

Got this reply from Tannin about the // (comment) tags.

 

Regarding the issue: I've never heard that // is a comment in ini files.

Usually ini files use ; as comments, sometimes a # but the ini parser I use (not custom code) won't accept //.

 

Haven't got feedback (yet) about why that stray iScreenShotIndex entry results in an error in the configurator.

Isn't // used to break a line of text in an ini from being loaded? As in

 

Imingrass=20 //set 70 or higher if using grass on steroids.

 

Set 70 or higher if using grass on steroids is not loaded by the ini because of the //

 

 

Of course this is probably a moot post on my end. Early morning and not a cup of coffee in me yet
