theatomiccafe Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I've been looking for way to add a character headtracking function to the SkyrimPrefs.ini and by looking in the CK for a way to get this working to no avail....This type of mod would only better the games' total immersion. Remember back in the older Bethesda games where your character would look at creatures and NPC's as he or she would walk past? Well I've been trying to get this to work for quite awhile now with no avail. I'm trying to create this mod so as to add an extra level of "realism" to Skyrim. I feel that having your character stare blankly forward even with the most trivial form of interactions is silly. I just can't seem to get this to work. I've tried adding lines to the ini files (as per Oblivion, Fallout 3) with no progress. I've even gone so far as to create custom scripts within the CK to get this to work.....nothing...Does anyone out there know who Bethesda is handling this? It's not too hard to set up an NPC that has the available options to Look At Player but I can't seem to find a way to have the player look at an NPC. Is there a way to access our player "Actor Model" within the CK? That is my only option left I think.... I know this is a trivial thing but I really do miss that personalization of how our characters interact with the other inhabitants of Skyrim. I've exhausted all of my "known" options and I'm wondering if anyone has any idea how to get this working. Help me Dovah Wan Kanobi!
0 MadWizard25 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Hello theatomiccafe, welcome to the forums! I dont have any experience with using the CK, so i cant really help you. In any case, this post is in the wrong section, any questions such as this should be posted under the Support & Troubleshooting forum. You might also be better off posting this question on the nexus skyrim mod fourm, the nexus skyrim mod troubleshooting forum, or on the bethesda skyrim mod forum. The STEP community forum is a bit light on CK advice, but we will help you if we can :)

Even my friends at Bethesda are stumped as to how to get this working. They weren't even aware that it was removed for Fallout 3!Thanks again and I'll post my question where you've suggested. :) How do I delete my post from this topic?
0 frihyland Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Your best bet is on the SKSE thread on Bethesda forums, they are exposing parts of the game engine itself, and they may be able to do this for you but they have a very long backlog of requests so be patient.
