Hey folks, So yesterday I made an attempt to install the S.T.E.P Extended compilation. This is the second time I've installed a STEP pack, though my last modding venture was well over a year ago. Anyhow, I followed the guide as closely as possible but it seems I messed up somewhere. I suspect it has something to do with DSR and FNIS, since I recall having trouble with those previously. When I fire up Skyrim through SKSE, it does not crash or freeze but instead the screen remains mostly black. The Audio is there and I can still navigate the menu screen, although parts of it are illegible. Only one error remains in the LOOT report but I can not figure out how to solve that one. It looks like this: I tweaked my Skyrim/ENB ini files and driver settings as recommended in the guide and since I ran the game successfully before installing any mods with these tweaks, I doubt that's what's causing this. Before: Hopefully someone can help me resolve these Issues. You can find my current load order below and in case my system specs are relevant, here you go: My system specs, Update 1: Alright so I made a vanilla MO profile and ran SKSE with that and it seems to be doing the same thing. I probably dun goofed badly and messed up my core files. Update 2: Oh god, tried to fix it with a clean skyrim backup I have, still broken. Seems like I wrecked everything. Why am I allowed to use computers? Update 3: ENBoost is causing it. Why it's doing this is beyond me. Update 4: Can't figure out why ENBoost is failing. Already browsed dozens of pages. It doesn't work on a clean install either. Strange, because it ran perfectly yesterday. Update 5: Fixed it. Seems like the problem was an overlay program called Overwolf which was interfering with the ENB. What a stupid thing. Game now works and most mods seems to be functional. Something still seems to be off with DSR/Animation/Skeleton mods though. Looks like the vanilla animation and my character's head disappears when I equip a steel plate helm. Oh well, troubleshooting this is at least most entertaining than staring at a black screen constantly. Performance is decent. Some minor stuttering seems to occur even through VRAM isn't at max capacity according to SPM. Still have a bunch of files in my overwrite folder, don't know what to do with them.
