Hi there, Up until now, I haven't had any problems with quests, but this quest isn't able to finish and I'm not sure why. A little background on the mods I use: I installed all the STEP core mods and some of the STEP extended mods, but not all of them. Since I wanted a mage character this playthrough, I added a few spell and magic mods from the Nexus (see LOOT order below for exact mods). What happens: whenever I get back to the College of Winterhold I speak with Tolfdir after defeating the magic anomaly and then get rid of the barrier with the Staff of Magnus. Outside the Hall of Elements there's a College Guard fighting another magic anomaly and I help defeat it. Once I get inside the Hall of Elements, Tolfdir and the college guard follows me. Ancano stops pulling energy from the Eye of Magnus and attacks Tolfdir and the guard. Ancano doesn't talk about how he's untouchable and Tolfdir never responds by shooting a fireball up his ass. Trying to use the Staff on the Eye does absolutely nothing and Ancano is forever in God-mode. I tried disabling the Run for your lives and When vampires attack mods, as well as the Improved College since I thought the College guard came from those, but he was still there. I'm not even sure its just that the guard comes in with us, the enchanter trainer also came in one time and started attacking Ancano. I disabled all the mods and the quest worked fine, but when I went back to the mods, I lost all the spells and a lot of equipment (which was expected but still sucked) If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
