Low Quality Textures Close Up Vanilla
DepartedCitizen-00003 replied to DepartedCitizen-00003's question in General Skyrim LE Support
USKP does with the tail twisty bug and I know what that is. It had to deal with crouching and moving a special way. I forgot exactly what the special way was but I do remember that I did test it out and USKP did fix it. What I posted in the screenshot is different and it happens whenever you stand still. It isn't too big of an issue but still noticeable. Now if Argonian tail twist fix is suppose to fix that as well, then I guess I didn't install USKP properly even though it was at once my only mods. I'm currently avoid big mods that change a lot of how the game looks until my second playthough which is why I'm not really using the STEP guide until later. For now the only mods I'm using are mods that fix things that really bother me and all the mods posted by z929669 seem to help. So for now I just need to know what is the correct option for high quality LOD to get without using other texture mods. -

So which high quality LOD do I get? I'm guessing the high res version. I'm not using any texture mod unless you call SMIM to be one. Besides that all I'm using for textures is the official high res texture pack. So which high quality LOD do I get? -

Currently working on getting those mods. I already use the unofficial patches. However I have a random question that has nothing to do with this topic: The tail on the argonian, is it normal to look like this: https://i.imgur.com/pvpyAXx.jpg Basically what I see is that the tail seems to curve and go on an angle like a third way in. Normal for it to do that? Also if you can take a screenshot as well so I have something to compare, that would be great since most of the time I always found people don't quite understand what I mean. -

Nevermind, installed No Stretching as well as this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2906/ The Lakeview Manor rocks still look the same as in the screenshots. EDIT: I just tried ONE MOUNTAIN with both the meshes and the textures. This is what is looks like: https://i.imgur.com/623ac66.jpg I guess it's just impossible for a mod to be created to unstretch textures. -

But won't these mods fix the stretching that was in the screenshots of Lakeview Manor without having to use retextures? The screenshots I saw in the second mod look like they should fix it. Can't confirm though until Skyrim is reinstalled. -

Currently reinstalling Skyrim, almost finished. For now I don't want to use any retextures. So this leads me to a question of which mod should I rather get? ONE MOUNTAIN - MESHES - Required 1_5 - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58666/ No stretching USKP compatible - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26126/ The second mod I found from reading the description of the first mod. What are the differences of these 2 mods? -

Can you explain the 3rd screenshot under Lakeview Manor outside? That is using a retexture mod but the right side of the rock is still lover quality then the left side. I'm not really sure how this games. EDIT: I just noticed hishutup's reply. So from what I'm getting at, the right side of the rock looks worse then the left side even with the use of the retexture mod 4k textures because the game stretches the right side? If I'm right about this, then wouldn't those mountain texture mods you sent me still have the issue with the right side looking worse then the left side or does the mods fix that somehow? I didn't really read about the mod. All I currently did was look at some screenshots. I still think it would be nice If I can have screenshots of the same area for Lakeview Manor second screenshot so I know for sure that is an area that has a stretched texture and not something wrong with me. The Dragon mod you sent me looks like it should fix the issue the horrible looking dragons. -

Texture filtering was already set to High Quality. The STEP Guide for launcher and ini setup didn't help. EDIT: Got a friend to help out and got him to take screenshots from Yngol Barrow and he seems to have the same problem so nice to know it isn't just me wit the issue. Would be nice to know how we can fix it as well as have screenshots from other people form the locations listed in the first post so I have something to compare to. -

Can I have someone follow the steps I posted above? I want to see how it looks for other players. -

Perhaps you can go to one of the locations and take a screenshot so I can see how it looks for someone else. These instructions will take you to the location of the second screenshot for Lakeview Manor. Instructions:1. Fast travel to Lakeview Manor.2. As soon as you spawn, turn right and go to the rocks.3. Hug the rocks while moving left.4. As soon as you pass a pile of logs, you should find yourself going up a tiny bit while still hugging the wall.5. You will reach the area I am talking about. Please take a screenshot of that same area so I can see how it should look. -

The strange thing though is that it happens to only the same textures. I can also sit there for hours just staring at the texture and nothing will happen. Is there a way to fix this? -

Hello, this isn't directly related to S.T.E.P. but more of a problem related to Skyrim. I have this really weird and annoying graphical bug that I had posted in 2 other topics on other forums as well contacted Bethesda about. So far I haven't been able to get this fixed. So now I'm going to see if anyone here knows how to fix it. So the issue is that random textures are extremely low quality compared to the surrounding. It is always the same textures. This even happens with a clean installation of Skyrim with no mods installed and with a new game. Here are some screenshots: Lakeview Manor Outside: https://i.imgur.com/rcaCgX3.jpg (Low quality rock with high quality grass) https://i.imgur.com/0K8JNAy.jpg (Low quality rock with high quality rock) https://i.imgur.com/mGzTy45.jpg (same as above but with 4k texture mod. Both sides did go up in quality but they still don't match) Yngol Barrow: https://i.imgur.com/AWLibiG.jpg (Messed up looking object) https://i.imgur.com/bTTjmv2.jpg (Low quality candles) Some Random Place: https://i.imgur.com/kQADijN.jpg (Some textures are high quality while others are medium quality while others are low quality. Nothing matches) Fight with a Blood Dragon: https://i.imgur.com/xjeoAOd.jpg (The dragon is also messed up) https://i.imgur.com/6nQUIyC.jpg (Another view) https://i.imgur.com/d1gmioQ.jpg (Another view) https://i.imgur.com/gfTSmG8.jpg (Another view) https://i.imgur.com/3jf0P4p.jpg (The dragon magically became high quality after it was killed) I have no idea what is going on or how to fix this. I'm hoping someone here knows what is going on. My Specs:Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1CPU: Intel Core I7 3770K @ 3.50GHzRAM: 16 GBMotherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P8Z77-V LX (LGA1155)Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7800 series Can anyone help me with this issue?
