Random Freeze - Various Locations, Various Actions.
Nostra posted a question in General Skyrim LE Support
Here is my Load Order: https://pastebin.com/y6kjyQAz I have Crash Fixes, ENB Boost and I have made sure that everything is set up correctly in terms of ini and pref files. Hardware: Intel Core i7-6700k, SSD, 16gb RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6gb. My problem is that at seemingly completely random moments the game will freeze, sound continues but everything just stops. It has happened in the wild, just walking, browsing a merchant, running in a city (Solitude and Riften), sneaking in a dungeon, etc. I read on these forums that it is most likely related to scripts, so any help identifying the culprit (I assume one or more of the mods) would be appreciated. If there is anything else I can tell that would be helpful just let me know, I'll be reloading the forums like a madman. ;) -
I simply took out my ini files and had the game create new ones, then modfied them again when I saw it worked. I'm considering whether it could be the ENB causing the problems, any thougth on that? I'll try to revert the terrain manager stuff, see if it makes any difference. PS: Turns out I abstained from making any changes that affected z-fighting since I had read that making those changes could be a cause of the problem.

Hmm, well now I can get into the game, but when I try to travel from Solstheim to Skyrim I get the eternal loading screen. Not sure what I could do that I haven't already done.

Ah, thanks! I did a quick search but 'blackscreen' only found a handful of threads each of which had several pages of replies and seemed a bit too general to be worth reading through, heh. I'll see what I can find with loading screens. I did edit the ini files a bit to the old settings, I'll try completely new ones right away! Edit: Hmm, now it freeze with the object and quote still on the screen, not sure if that is a step forward or backward, hehe. I'll go searching for other solution now. Edit2: Another note, this affects all my saves, both interior and exterior.

Hello again! I'm both pleased and extremely disappointed to be back, hehe. Well, I reinstalled the game, fresh and then installed the latest STEP release and everything worked wonderfully... until today, when suddenly my saves seem to have broken, they load just fine but when they finish all I get is a blackscreen. I can still hear noise but can't move or bring up the menu. Been googling around for solutions but found nothing that has worked, so any ideas how to fix this or am a I condemned to restart my quests once more?

I have to say that sounds great, I'll check out since I've done some DnD on the internet before, back in the day, though I'm more looking for something fluid and easy like in a video game. Speaking of which, I think this video convinced me to really give the community I mentioned in the OP a chance: [video=youtube]http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=pitaNJRLcU4

Hey folks! You might remember me from a while ago asking for help in getting Skyrim to run with STEP installed, well I did (with some help!) and have gotten my fill, for now, of Skyrim. I'm currently in a "phase" where I'm looking into underrepresented genres of gaming, this seemed like a good place to gather more connections and feedback on it. I've recently been curious about role-playing online. First hand reaction you get when I tell people I'm looking into role-play... well, let's just say it seems to be a hard sell. Hear me out though. Have you ever played GTA? Good. Imagine an online GTA where people own houses, arranges "street racing" with in-game money betting, where some players plays cops and scouts the city for races or illegal activities, and so forth. More or less an alive city with people playing for different factions, goals and ideals. I got convinced to play on such a server, it took me a few days to get into the flow but once I understood the approach... it was most probably the best gaming experience I've had. It felt like an interactive digital movie. Unfortunately that place shut down and I'm now looking for more like-minded people or interesting projects on role-play. Are there any suggestions, ideas or people playing currently on role-playing games? Imagine Skyrim like that? Too bad our only hope for something similar right now seems to be Elder Scrolls Online, though on that note... I've been getting some suggestions on World of Warcraft role-playing. This project looks very interesting but I have not tried it yet, anyone here playing WoW RP with more knowledge? Or do you have suggestions for other games/mediums? Thanks! Don't kill me for liking nerdmanship. It's fun once you try. PS: After some thought I think I might cross-post to the Nexus forums, if there's any good place there to ask about this kind of stuff, might be a couple more responses, hehe.

Hm. I am not sure what the problem was, since everything works fine now... And everything that was active, is. It did get the CTD with a new save too, so... I am confused. I guess I should be happy that it works. And thanks, Farlo! You've been a great help.

Alright, I'll do that. Thanks. Any way to get a crash report though?
-
Hello, seems I have a new problem. The game runs perfect, gorgous looking too! except whenever I try to leave Raven Rock I crash. I am bit unsure what it is, but it seems obvious that there is something loading in an exterior cell that clashes with something. How do I get a crashlog? Can't seem to find one in the folders. Here are my mods, in BOSS Note that the ones with error are not active, nor are the ones supposed to clash with each other.

Well, I had to resort to a new install, but with the new release of STEP maybe that was for the best anyway! Everything seems to be working fine now, so thanks!

Since the DLCs are packed in ESP/BSA format, all you need to do is disable the Dragonborn ESP and Skyrim won't use any of the files. It will be uninstalled as far as Skyrim is concerned (but still on your hard drives).Hm, alright, but when I re-activate it will still have the faulty textures, or? Is my only recourse a full reinstall?

It seems Dragonborn is the culprit, which leaves me in the conundrum of not know how to install/uninstall expansions on Steam... Any help in that regard?

Alright, many thanks!

Hello, I am missing textures for a few specific things, it seems to only affect tables, bookshelves and only the flat wooden planks on them. Is there an easy way to just put the appropriate textures in? Where can one find downloads for them and how do you know which ones you need? Thank you!
