Green box around mod directory, mods in subfolders

What is this green box and when it was there mods went into subfolders. Can I change it back? --EDIT I understand the subfolders thing, but what is the green box. -
BOSS Crashes When Run With Hair Mods.

The 2 mods do not have ESP's -
I am using MO and BOSS works perfectly fine without enabling the mods "Realistic Hair - Ichibu" and "Superior Lore Friendly Hair - skyrimaguas". I tried re-installing both mods, different combinations of each activated, but both mods cause BOSS to stop working. Here are some screens of what I am doing. BOSS works with no hair selected. Boss then crashes with one of these configurations What BOSS does. I am following the Skyrim Revisited Legendary Edition. Any help? Thanks :) -- Edit Using BOSS 2.2 fixed it!
