  1. No closer, but possible looking more directly at. What difference does it make? Yeah, have the resolution limit, I didn't get what you were saying about a percentage/proportion limit. If you're talking about the different previews to look at, there's only primary & alpha. Sorry, I'm still reasonably new to this so, still kinda feeling my way a bit. The compression issues you're seeing could be the fact that I had to save the files as lower quality jpegs to make them small enough to upload.
  2. I noticed it in Riften. Went in the main gate & the texture's used on both sides of the path.
  3. "OR you can constrain by proportion (25%, 50%, 75%, etc ... This would affect ALL textures)" I'm confused. I don't see anything like that in the constraints tab??? Keeping it ath the default 8192 didn't do anything though. I just noted that in the preview, it clearly shows the "destination" as the pixelated texture in the screenshot. Still at 2048...
  4. I followed the guide pretty closely so... Yes, raise foliage map is unchecked, yes all compression settings are on lossless (though I did that before I found the guide anyway). Constraints by %, could you elaborate on that?
  5. Found it. The texture is fallforestgrass.dds from Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul. I ran just that mod through a couple times to be sure, & yup. That particular texture comes out screwey every time. Aiyen, I ended up just dropping the whole mod. I'm using it with SMC & the textures it overwrites are by no means bad. In some cases, better actually. You can see in the screenshot it has some pretty obvious & ugly seams that just don't look right. I'm still confused as to why ddsopt would do this though? I haven't set the cap below 2048x2048 so it shouldn't NEED to rescale, & compressions on lossless. Bug in the program?
  6. Ok so, major apologies. It seems that it's not unique grasses after all. I followed a hunch that pointed to a different mod being the issue. I just assumed that UG was the problem seeing as a few screenshots look confusingly similar. I'm now going through every mod I'm using trying to pinpoint the real culprit. @Kelmych: I'll post the log for it once I single out the problem spot Don't know if it makes any difference or not, I'm using 0.8 pr4. I don't recall this happening when using 0.7.4 but that doesn't necessarily mean anything... Again, so sorry for the confusion :(
  7. I noticed some weird textures with Unique Grasses when I was running around Riften yesterday. I'd run DDSopt on the textures so I thought that could have been the problem. Put the original textures back in & all was well. I followed the guide for settings so, unsure why this is happening. Before DDSopt After Have I done something wrong, or is it a bug in the program, or something else I haven't considered? If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful. I'm stumped.
