for the first time in years, my skyrim is running well, and stable. i just am not willing to take the risks involved in doing this. perhaps in the future, when i make a clean install, ill use MO to avoid the NMM misbehaviours, but manually migrating almost 200 mods from NMM is . . . unfeasible.

will i absolutely HAVE to import mods from NMM to use this with an old Skyrim install? i have hundreds of mods, many of which rely on SKSE or something, so im darn near certain that something will break if i do this. would making a backup of my data folder be necessary / sufficient? is there any way to undo this process once begun? and what are the risks. the wiki says nothing on these topics -this is also copied from the nexus page
