  1. CPU load, and load times.
  2. THANK YOU SIR You guys are awesome no doubt Ty so much for your help. (Now go to my other thread and be just as helpful click here: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=5091
  3. TY so much for your input so far - greatly appreciated. So, let me get this straight... first of all, how can I even install the DLC packs as a mod? Because in Mod Organizer they only appear on the right, not on the left, thus not giving me the original option to unpack.
  4. I've looked everywhere! I've read the guides on texture optimization for the Beth HD DLCs, but I have an idea that I'd lke to know if it's possible - Can I simply install the 3 officil DLC texture packs as "mods" with Mod Organizer, then unpack .bsa when it asks? That way I can just run optimizer textures like I do for any unpacked texture mods with 0 dangers and risks. Let me know if this works! I don't want my game to explode. If this is possible it seems 100x easier than the DDSopt solution. Ty for taking the time! p.s. if this IS possible you're all very welcome

  6. C'mon guys, I know there are a lot of you here who know understand the ins and outs of container respawning!! Speak up!
  7. Yeah me neither which is why I made this thread. Hopefully someone will have concrete answers!
  8. Ty but I know that and this does not contribute to the thread. The questions and ideas I'm proposing go further than troubleshooting, they're a matter of optimization. My game is not particularly bloated at the moment. It remains, however, that the game must keep track of every single item you've either taken or moved, so I'd like to know some effective ways of relieving my game of some of that burden. :)
  9. Hi everyone. I've read many threads and tutorials for reducing save game bloat, but I just have some very simple questions I haven't found the answer to if that's OK. Assuming there are little to no uninstalled mod issues in one's save game, from what I've read the biggest issue is hoarding items. I was wondering if these things I'm proposing would work to remove excessive items from one's game save entirely: - simply selling off a ton of items - does this work or will the game save them in the invisible merchant's chest? - put them in a dead body and open console and "markfordelete" that body. Will all the items automatically be removed from the game too? - placing them in non-safe containers. I haven't been able to find out how long it takes for an unsafe chest or some regular barrel out in Riverwood to respawn. Anyone know? I've tried to wait 20 days only to still find them there =\ - or... do I have to actually manually "markfordelete" like 200 baskets (don't ask) one at a time? If selling works that would seem the quickest and most practical.
  10. Is there any risk at all in doing this? I mean, if there's no risk then shouldn't it be a good practice to do every now and then? Just wondering.
  11. Ty! This is so much better now not having to move the files back each time between the folders (even if it takes about 6 seconds)--
  12. OK I will move them back. It doesnt seem that I'm able to drag and drop as the Mod Organizer says (the little + icon appears but nothing happens). I'm assuming I should just browse to the Overwrite folder in windows explorer and move them from there to RaceMenu's folder then? ty again
  13. TY for your response- Should I send them back to RaceMenu or delete them? TBH I dont care that much about RaceMenu... especially if it's causing trouble.
  14. Hi Everyone. Let me first say that I have indeed read the -quite excellent- Mod Organizer guides and such. I've come to understand that it's somewhat unusual to find files left in the Overwrite folder... I've found the following files in there now via an alert and I don't know if I should just delete them, or even where they came from: If anyone could shine some light on this I could get back to playing!!
