  1. Hey Kelmych, thanks for the reply. I was aware of the UAC issue, and in my case, all my installs are in a non-UAC folder (C:\Games). I still get the error with the latest MO, but am able to use the older version (1.0.10) without any problems. MO 1.1.1 still wants to delete and replace all the ".txt" files in the profiles when starting it up in a different Windows user account than the one it was created in. I'm not sure why MO 1.1.1 is trying to delete the files or why, given that the folder "C:\Games" is not a UAC directory, Windows is trapping it. Odd......
  2. Let me start off by saying that I am very new to modding and MO has made it easy, thank you for all the hard work. I recently updated MO from 1.0.10 to 1.1.1 and ran into a similar problem. I'm using Win 8.1. My user account has admin rights while my son, who plays under his user account, is a standard user. My copy of Skyrim is a retail, boxed Legendary edition working through Steam. Under MO 1.0.10, when I would make changes to my mod list or to his, the changes would carry over to him when he logged on. Any changes he made to his profile in MO would be visible to me as well. There were no UAC issues at all. After updating to MO 1.1.1, I was still able to open MO and make changes to all profiles without problems, but he would get "Access Denied" errors when opening MO. The application was trying to delete the "*.txt" files in the MO profiles folder for all the profiles and Windows UAC was trapping it. He would press cancel and would be unable to start MO. Last night I had time to look at things and checked on all the settings noted in this thread. I set up the "/profiles" folder for him to have Full Control in permissions, changed the folder owner to "Everyone", and set MO to run as administrator. I was able to start MO through his account, but found that the "*.txt" files in the profiles had indeed been deleted and re-created, and that the modlist and loadorder were completely wiped clean for all profiles. When I logged out of his account and into mine, I found that all my settings were blank - no mods selected, load order defaulted to alphabetical. I was also unable to move the mods to change the load order, I could only highlight them. After several attempts with various changes to permissions, changes to folder ownership, re-installing MO 1.1.1, etc., I got the same results. I then re-installed MO 1.0.10 to a new folder, copied over the mods, imported the saves from the profiles and started from scratch. I set everything back to default Windows permissions settings. Under MO 1.0.10, everything works fine. It is not set up to run as administrator, the Windows folder UAC settings are the default, but we are able to both use MO and play without any problems. MO 1.1.1 will still not work between user accounts however. Were there changes in MO 1.1.1 that might account for this?
