  1. a. i wasnt notified of any files being quarantined other than some spybot bug, nothing related to skyrim or Skse. b. Ok, after messing around I noticed that if I start a fresh profile and run skse from the executables list the game will start. After I check even one mod in the left panel and run skse again the game will not start and windows searches for a solution to the problem. That's any one mod (ihud, official patches...) whatsoever. Edit: skyui will work if its the only mod in the list, adding even ihud will again not allow the game to start. Could this be memory related possibly? Edit: this is driving me nuts, now once again the game will not start at all with or without skyui... Sometimes it will start other times it won't. I don't think skse is the problem but I'm just assuming because it will start on a mod free setup. Can I reinstall MO somehow and keep my 500+ mods installed on 3 separate profiles in tact? In a year of using MO I've never encountered even one bug or flaw in the program, it has worked perfectly for me. Solved!! It was the razer program still lingering on even after I deleted it. I manually deleted a few related files that were not removed and the game works. Thanks for the feedback sorry for being so naieve.
  2. I recently downloaded razer game booster from cnet and in the process some weird threat was stopped by Norton anti virus and my computer was restarted. When my computer did restart, I loaded up Mod Organizer and launched skyrim (via skse in excutables tab) only to find that the program will not start! Windows keeps telling me skyrim has stopped working and is looking for a fix. I can only run skyrim through the steam launcher in MO now. I can start the game with steam and from my skyrim root folder. Can someone give me some ideas as to what I can do to figure this out please. I've already tried updating MO, reinstalled SKSE as per STEP recommendations and still same error. This really hurts because I just finished getting everything all perfect, the only reason I wanted to try razer was because my game was running out of memory (even with shesons memory patch) and crashing suddenly, it filled both memory slots up completely 512 and 256 on numerous occasions. here is the papyrus log after the consistent failure to start.... [07/10/2014 - 11:38:53PM] Papyrus log opened (PC) [07/10/2014 - 11:38:53PM] error: Native function GetUseSound in empty state does not match existing signature on linked type Potion. Function will not be bound. [07/10/2014 - 11:38:53PM] Update budget: 800.000000ms (Extra tasklet budget: 800.000000ms, Load screen budget: 2000.000000ms) [07/10/2014 - 11:38:53PM] Memory page: 256 (min) 512 (max) 153600 (max total) Would reinstalling MO completely fix it if it was a corrupt file?, shouldn't updating from 1.2 to 1.2.9 have done that? Any help in preserving my finally completed mod setup wold be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hello all, I've finally put together what I consider the perfect mod list for my skyrim and it seems to be running superbly. A solid 2 hours of playing after completing the 28 step test outlined by Oiscao1 here... ( https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1277531-28-step-stress-test/ ) and not one ctd, I'm happy as anything right now and ready to begin my game. No way was that possible without the explicit guidance from the STEP team and from countless posts in forums from users and modders, in that I say thank you. Now that everything is running so smoothly I'd like to keep it that way (Duh) and there are some key points in doing this I am a bit unsure of. Namely save games and updating or installing new mods. - Where is the best place to save game progress? If I understand correctly there are a few do's and don't here... 1. Always save indoors via console with a recognizable name and never in a modded area (player home or whatever). Does it really make any difference if you save outdoors? 2. Never rely on an auto save. Is this true even when your character is killed and the auto save begins where you left off? Would it be better to just load the last named console save via the start menu every time you are killed? - What is the best practice for updating a mod already installed in your load order? 1. As I understand, it's best to completely uninstall the mod in question and then reinstall the updated version, then just continue with the last saved game. Is there any chance of corrupting a save with the uninstalled version even though it is the same mod just updated? Would it be better to start the game over with the updated mod already intact or is this completely idiotic and overkill? 2. Is it generally a bad idea to add a mod after you have a properly working game? I ask this because the manner in which I created a working load order was very tiresome and tedious but seemed the best way for accuracy. I added some mods and then tried to crash the game any way possible, when no crash after an hour or so I added more mods and repeated. This was great but not entirely accurate as the nature of the crashes was almost always different and thus very hard to find which was a problem. I then stumbled upon the 28 step stress test outlined by Oiscao1. This test helped me a great deal because it always crashed at the same points in the quest. The only problem is you can't do the test twice in one game (it's quest related) and I need another fool proof way to test a newly added mod besides the flying around worldspace one. 3. I know it's not good to eliminate a mod and continue with the save it relied on because of leftover scripts but what other ways can my saves get corrupted that I can prevent? - Bashed patch with wyre smash. 1. I know the patch allows the mods and leveled lists to work with each other but is it bad practice to just patch every mod in my load list? Exactly which mods should I patch together or does it not matter much? I ask this because I always let the default settings in wyre smash do their thing and that includes everything. I haven't had problems with that but just want to make sure. Though immersive armors and sneak tools show an error when they are included, I usually just uncheck them from the patch. What does this mean exactly? Are the immersive armors still in random leveled lists or are they separate because they are not included in the patch? I want to learn a bit more detail how wyre works but the videos I've seen seem a bit lacking in the details. Please suggest any links you may have for me to learn more. 2. Should I add skyproc patches to the bashed patch or keep them unchecked? Should I uncheck the bashed patch before running the skyproc patches with MO or keep it checked, what difference does it make if any? That's all that comes to mind right now and I hope my ignorance in these questions isn't too bothersome, there seems to be so much conflicting info out there I really feel better to have these questions answered by some of the minds I've been following in this forum for a while, thanks in advance for any info intel i7 core Nvidia GTX 360 6GRAM 64 Bit I use enboost and ssme and hardly any texture packs, not even the official ones. Game is smooth as silk and I want to keep it that way :)
  4. I GOT IT!!! It was either skybirds, guard dialogue overhaul, or way of the monk. Most likely skybirds ( I really like that mod too) I got lucky and found another players mod list and papyrus log with the same script in question, then i simply eliminated whatever we had in common in our lists and viola no more crashes. I've seriously been working on this for days, it was killing my game. I played through the 28 step test flawlessly and then some. After I quit I checked papyrus log and saw no woodcuttinglevelingscript.psc anywhere... Thanks again for the help, it's nice to have such a forum to consult with when things go awry. Also, I use mod organizer and love everything about it. I can fine tune my game effortlessly.
  5. Hello all,I've been trying to start a new game with a pretty large mod set up for quite some time now and can't seem to figure out the nature of my crashes. Each and every time the game crashes after about 30-35 minutes with "woodcuttinglevelingscript.psc" as the final line of text in my papyrus log. I've been eliminating mods 1 by 1 to try and alleviate the problem but have had no success whatsoever.A quick search on Google shows that this script is barely even mentioned as a troublemaker and I seem to be the lucky one with this issue... Awesome.I believe that it may possibly be related to a weapon or armor mod and have been eliminating them 1 by 1 to no avail. I only think this because I started adding my mods in chunks pertaining to their respective category (immersion, magic, gameplay etc.) and really noticed it crashing after most mods were installed (I added weapons and armors last as I figured they were safest).I did eliminate all weapons and armors at once and the crash still occurred, then I eliminated "Dynamic Things" mod and it didn't crash. I chose this particular mod because it includes cutting down trees and wood piles etc. it made sense. Thinking the problem was DT, I installed all my weapon and armor mods again and then viola 30 minutes later same crash with same script error (DT was not installed). My plan is to continue eliminating mods until I see no error but this literally takes 40 minutes each time for each mod and I don't want to be left with no mods and same error. I use the 28 step test outlined here to test for stability https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1277531-28-step-stress-test/ but the crash doesn't just occur while doing this test, it will happen anywhere in game while playing for a period of time. Here is the end of the last papyrus log I received today (after 10 more attempts... I hate this)https://pastebin.com/vwugr9b2This is the mod list I started with before eliminatinghttps://pastebin.com/xreTqeyaThis is my newest build with mods eliminated 1 by 1 and still getting same reporthttps://pastebin.com/LaUfYkN1My setup: intel i7, 64bit, 6GRAM, Nvidia GTX 360I do use enboost and ssme as well. All mods are cleaned and ordered with boss, TES5edit shows no errors whatsoever. I also run a bashed patch via Wyre Smash. I also use MO and each and every time I eliminate a mod from my list to check for stability I erase all saves and start the game over.If anyone is familiar with this script and what it does in game please enlighten me so I may have a shot at figuring this out. Seriously, any comment is very appreciated, I'm about to give up completely. Thanks
  6. Aha!!! Success, I unchecked BOYD and the game works... thank you both so much. I have a lot to learn here and I am already blown away by MO's cababilities. Thanks again
  7. Hello, I am very new to mod organizer and any help would be much appreciated. I checked under the MO thread topics and could not find this issue anywhere. I believe it is obviously related to a 64bit binary but honestly don't know what that even means. After spending ~10 hours adding all the STEP Extended mods and going over all the detailed information nicely presented for me diligently (or so I thought) I have run into a game breaking snag. I received this error after a somewhat extensive log report..." Mod Organizer does not support 64bit binaries" I can't run skyrim through MO at all! It just shows the logo and does nothing else. Everything is fine with the game if used w/o MO. Does this mean I can not use MO because my computer isn't capable? Is there a fix for this or should I resort back to NMM. Could i simply delete a few mods that may require 64 bit systems? Thanks for any help. Edit. I Unactivated the mods in question (lanterns of skyrim and lantern caretakers) and the warning went away but the game still does not start, all I get is the skyrim logo. Nothing more??? I've tried launching the game via "skyrim, skyrim launcher, and skse" to no avail. MO mentions nothing in the way of a warning or error. If I launch the game from desktop skse shortcut icon everything works fine but no mods Any advice? Â
  8. I'm pretty new to modding and have been having a great time creating the perfect skyrim experience to cater to my preferences. I've been running 250 + mods for a few months straight with no conflicts I couldn't figure out and fix until now. Now I did something really stupid... I wanted to add the texture pack combiner  mod complete to round out the graphics nicely and accidentally overwrote my games textures and meshes. I didn't create the zip file and add to NMM like the author recommended, instead I installed manually like a moron :/ the only back up I have of the original textures and meshes is outdated by 3 months. I've added many mods since then, could I use this somehow? can anyone help me get the original textures back without losing my heavily modded skyrim game? The added TPC mod creates some serious stuttering and I have to run the game on medium instead of ultra (like usual) to make it playable. Really kicking myself after this one.
