I've just had the same result as Zreyl, where my overwrite folder only contained the TES5Edit Backups folder with the *.backup files. Thought I'd done something wrong too - for quite a while - until I found this thread. :) Maybe a short note to say "*some people have reported that their cleaned files are written directly to the /Skyrim/data folder". It's all a bit overwhelming if, like me, you have very little experience with modding and then a little detail like this can send you in circles for a long time Thanks for the work, I'm finding STEP a great help!

God, I hope this whole STEP system can help me build a proper modded Skyrim. I've never followed it properly before and have always more-or-less just thrown any old mods I wanted together, stirred 'em all with BOSS, and hoped for the best. But I'm absolutely tired of my games (which appear to work fine for a while) eventually exploding. Just had my latest Requiem-based character mess up (stamina system just suddenly not working). I'm sure I'm doing something wrong or including mods I shouldn't. Really glad to see info on Requiem specific instructions and advice! Hopefully following them will help.
