  1. Ended up using the beta versions for all the unofficial patches and ended up fixing the problem. More to come about the rest of everything later.
  2. Yea, that's the one I'm using. Actually tried a bunch of different vanilla dragons and none of them gave souls when dead. Wrote up a post on the unofficial patch bug forum to see if I could get any additional ideas. https://www.afkmods.com/index.php?/topic/3580-frequently-asked-questions-bugs/page-2#entry147588
  3. So I've noticed. So far, nothing seems to really work. Of course it could be because there's a certain point in the game where it starts allowing you to absorb souls? But I would think that even at the beginning of the game before you fight the first dragon, that you could load a dragon, kill it, and absorb the soul. I probably will try posting on those specific forums later today if I can't figure it out. (But yes, using the correct load orders, no extra scripts, etc. Even tried using the Beta for dragonborn patch.)
  4. I'll check it out then to see how it works. Right now I don't have any graphics mods so I won't be worrying about it for now. Where does this script come from or is there some sort of information that would tell me what it is I'm exactly looking for? (I do try to be self sufficient for the most part.) The follower mods normally I wouldn't worry about, except Inigo is pretty awesome and well put together, and I've heard good things about the other one. One other thing I did find is that the orange in Wyre Bash means that a plugin is loading before the master, though I'm not exactly sure if that's a concern or how to fix that.
  5. So I'm at the point now where I have the combat section installed along with a few of the follower mods. I ended up adding in OBIS, which is a change from my original post, which seems like an interesting concept, though I am curious about the heavy use of scripts it has. Patches Used: For OBIS I'll end up using the Falskaar patch when I get around to installing Falskaar into it. One of the mods I used suggested the CTD/Memory patch (https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/38649//?), so I'm curious if it actually does what it says or has any sort of negative usage that people have noticed. The big issue I'm having revolves around The Way of the Dovahkiin - Ultimate Deadly Encounters aka Sands of Time. So far the Skyrim I have seems stable and everything, and for now I'm installing everything through Wyre Bash to just make sure everything is working together. The patches I originally got were "If Using RoE and OBIS SOT" which just made sense, "SOT and Convenient Horses Patch" and "Vilja follower patch for UDE 5dot4 and higher only with Vilha In Skyrim 1dot5b". yet when I first loaded it up, it CTD'd on launch. After doing some digging, it looked like it was looking for "If using OBISDB and SoT" which sort of made sense, but also needed the "If using OBIS and SoT" along with it. So the patches seem a little confusing. Yet with all of them, everything loads up correctly and such. The big question I have, is in Wyre Bash in the mods section SleepingDangers-SandsofTime.esp, RoE-OBIS-SoT.esp, SOT-CHoreses.esp, and SOT_ViljaPatch.esp all have orange boxes with orange check marks in them. (I suppose I could look to see what that means but should I be concerned?) The second big problem I'm having is the bug with dragon souls and unable to absorb them. I have all the unofficial patches installed, which I read should have fixed that bug from the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, but it doesn't seem to be working. That one I'm not sure about fixing.
  6. A little update so far, since I have a few of them installed and tested without any obvious bugs. These are the current ones I have installed. (Along with SkyUI.) Overhaul: - Skyrim Unleashed https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25869/? Character: - Skyrim -Community- Uncapper https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1175/? Character Creation: - RaceMenu https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29624/? - CharGen Extension https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36925//? - ShowRaceMenu Precache Killer https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33526/? - Character Creation Overhaul - Races - Birthsigns - Classes - Skills - Specializations - Attributes https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21587/? - Alternate Start - Live Another Life https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9557/? Question about RaceMenu: ShowRaceMenu Precache Killer is a different mod than an optional file that comes from RaceMenu. Is there really any difference or a better one to use? (Or any issues if you use both?) I'll be testing out more together and eventually cleaning up the mods here, but so far so good.
  7. Yea, that is one thing that I've been doing, is not using the .esp from that. (Took me a little bit to figure out what I was doing with it exactly.) That's a good point about the UFO/EFF mods. When I was looking at them originally, they seemed to compliment each other. It seems like they do the same thing though, or differently at least. (For now, I'm trying to get a somewhat stable system before I actually start so that I can tweak things in from there. I know that when I first started working with everything, a lot of my CTDs were due to my nvidia settings and .ini tweaks.)
  8. The biggest one that I was looking for was Enhanced Mighty Dragons since it basically makes all the dragons into more unique versions. (That one I know is compatible with Deadly Dragons, at least with a patch.) Dragon Combat Overhaul and Deadly Dragons work well together, which I guess would change it to a decision between EMD and DCO.
  9. So this is the first time I've posted, in these forums or about Skyrim in general. I've gone through various guides, including STEP, SR and Legendary in general, just trying to find the right mix of everything that I want. Everytime I end up trying something completely, like the STEP or SR guides, I end up completely full of CTDs or other issues. So instead, I've tried mixing and matching on my own, and while I've reduced the overall CTDs, and improved my FPS, I'm still not fully satisfied. So far I've put about "28 hours" as reported by Steam for modding and testing Skyrim in general. (Just opens, play for a little, and close.) So right now, I'm currently wondering about the viability of these mods used together. Is there anything that people would recommend not using, or have an alternate mod that does the same thing? I've considered using SPERG, for perks and such, but it seems that just by nature it would conflict with other mods that change the perks of specific branches. That, and things like SkyRe and SPERG don't exactly fit what I want, even though there are specific parts that do. I guess really it's that I'm looking for advice in how to get the gameplay changes that I desire in a game, without bloating it up too excessively.
