I don't know what specifics to put in to googlefu the answer for this one; (I've been trying reddit / nexus as well) If you were to list the modding process into a number of steps, for example, Step 1 Install skyrim Step 2 Install MO Step 3 Install mods etc; How would you list said steps for the modding process? So far I'm seeing it as (May be wrong, and I'm only entirely using the STEP guide + gamerpoets for reference) After steam, skyrim and pre-req's including MO are dealt with: 1) Install mods. 2) follow mod specific instructions for said mods (If they require FNIS to be ran etc). 3) after all mods are installed, Merge patch. 4) DSR reproccer patches. 5)Final step FNIS. Is merging via xEdit (TES5Edit) a requirement? I've been having a ton of issues over a long span of time trying to mod my game and make it playable. At this point I just want to figure out what I'm doing wrong, and if somehow I'm botching the order of operations.

Certain in-game effects not working properly, then suddenly begin working. Female character models are all doing sideways stuttering shuffles when walking while not in combat. Quests NPC script at times not running initially, then working normally after loading a save. Frequent CTD when entering certain areas, (using doors, or simply walking around) NPC characters randomly entering swimming animations, when on land. Lighting effects will change randomly after loading a save (Same or otherwise, it doesn't matter) for example, the lighting for everything in game appearing very bright, and clear, while also loading very dark and shaded lighting at the same time (The one that prevails and remains in-game until the next load seems random). Creatures from mods such as Monster Mod, and Immersive creatures were working properly initially, but no longer show in game. Bows in first person are held off to the left side of the screen, pointed towards the sky and actually affect arrow trajectory. At times while in first person, any weapons on hips will be thrust through the characters chest and take up the entire middle portion of the screen. Have been having issues for a while now, and these new issues are after yet another fresh install of skyrim, and mod organizer. Following Gamerpoets tutorials, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong at this point. Other aspects of mods are not working properly as well, such as the skyUI function with Frostfall which allows you to see warmth and coverages ratings for items. Mod for showing favorited items on your character (Dual sheath) and or equip weapons on both hips, back, etc, will initially not work at all but will begin working properly after entering and leaving a few in-game buildings. Before posting I have combed through forums, videos, re-installed and re-done everything following guides. Multiple times. Install list. Latest memory block log after CTD a previous memory backlog can provide plugins list if needed. Plugins sorted by LOOT. If I need to redo everything again, I will. Although I'm not sure what steps I'm missing and why this is going so badly for me after all these attempts and all this time. In each attempt thus far I have noticed one consistency, and that is CTD's when entering areas near towns, such as whiterun, windhelm, solitude. Although each new wipe and new attempt at modding has brought new problems, this one has been pretty consistent. Somebody save me.

After running MO as admin (by selecting the option to) mods seemed to work. I'm honestly not sure how to go about fixing access status, and giving myself further privileges on my user account (Google-fu yielded a confusing number of results) I am currently using windows 8. If using a tool such as FNIS, would I be able to run MO without admin, use said tools, close the application, and restart MO with admin and have mods retain full functionality? At this point, any fix is a good fix for me.

Understood. I will try the first option initially. I believe my account (the only account on this PC) should already have admin privileges, I'm not entirely sure why that has or may have changed. Thanks a ton for tracking this down for me, and so quickly at that. I'll continue trying to see which solution works.

Also, the double ModManager folder bit, When choosing an install location rather than simply click a drive and choose to install MO, I created a new folder, named it ModManager, and installed it there. I will however, just move the folder so it is by itself within the drive (one folder instead of two)

I previously had skyrim installed in a different disk drive, which I uninstalled and removed (Everything but the registries). When I decided to reinstall Skyrim I decided this time I'll install it on my SSD, the D drive. I've made very few personal changes to anything as far as the modding process goes, unless specified in a Gamerpoets or Gopher tutorial. And even then, I've made very few tweaks or moves to anything. I eventually uninstalled both skyrim and MO, and reinstalled both of them starting the entire process from scratch; Nothing changed. I have made a backup copy of the 100+ mods by copying the downloads folder within MO (Prior to its uninstall) and placing them in a separate folder. Upon re-installation I copied the downloads into the new MO downloads folder. This is pretty much the entirety of the steps I've taken thus far.

My Mod Organizer (Fresh install) is only launching Skyrim in vanilla. Regardless of whether I launch using SKSE or not. I have watched and followed most of both Gamerpoets and Gophers videos on installation of MO and mods, yet no matter what I do MO only seems to launch Skyrim vanilla. So I've combed through various forums and videos attempting to find a fix for this problem, currently everything that I've been able to find hasn't worked. I've been able to find a number of topics with nearly the same issues as mine, but it usually turned out to be the user having their game files in the C drive (which I do not), and errors of a similar fashion. I have a completely fresh install of both Skyrim, and MO. I have downloaded over 100 mods, however I have only installed one or two of them via Mod Organizer. I have followed Gophers tutorials on setting up SKSE with MO, which I launch using MO. I have not tweaked any files, or INI's, or anything other than the check boxes mentioned in tutorials (For MO) and all I've done thus far is download a ton of mods, but only install 1 or 2 of them. I have followed Gophers tutorial for TES5Edit for cleaning the master files, however that caused them to disappear from MO's left panel, so I verified file integrity through steam, and they showed up again. (The issue I'm having happened before and after the cleaning and reacquiring of files) Any help at all is very much appreciated (It's been nearly a week of watching videos and testing and I only just now decided to ask for help D:) I'm not sure what I'm required to post or show, since everything is fresh, but whatever you guys need to help me further please let me know.
