  1. Nevermind the post above. Somehow my shortcut got overwritten and so I didn't have the -sse parameter in there, so it was looking for a registry key for default Skyrim. Thanks again Sheson!
  2. Hey Sheson, I'm running into an error for the SE beta, "Could not open registry key" when attempting to run either dyndolod or texgen. After doing some searching all I can find is that this often happens when someone doesn't use the launcher after an update or file verification, so I've tried that and am still getting the same error. I'll give you a bit of information and if you need more please just let me know. I use Wrye, and follow the linked guide from the manual to get things set up, and as far as I can tell everything is installed correctly. I'm not sure if this is relevant, but in the past I used the Steam interface to move SE to a different drive when I installed the game. The game runs fine on it's own, and so does xEdit and the CK64, and SSELodGen worked fine the last time I used it as well. I've tried installing dyndolod/texgen to both of my drives since it's now standalone according to the Wrye manual, just to be sure, but still get that error. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer. I can't make heads or tails of the issue. Let me know what details you need and I'll get them to you asap. Best regards, Calthrop Edit: Forgot to mention I'm using v2.23. Also, here's an excerpt from the logs: [00:00:00.000] TexGen based on xEdit x64 starting session 2017-03-15 16:26:59 [00:00:00.004] Using Skyrim Data Path: [00:00:00.007] Using ini: [00:00:00.010] Fatal: Could not find ini [00:00:06.293] Saving: Settings [00:00:06.296] Saving: Logs
  3. Just writing back to thank you for your help. You've saved me quite a bit of trial and error. As much experience as I have in other areas, lod is not one. Thanks again for taking the time to be a true asset to the community. If I can repay you somehow, please let me know. I'm fairly good with retextures (scratch or from a base, both diffuse and normals, and I do a very nice damascus steel in various patterns). I also have a bit of modelling, and of course general CK work. I'd be more than happy to pay it forward. Best regards! Calthrop
  4. Thanks for the quick response Sheson. I had taken a lood at Oscape prior to the post but thought it was for heightmap meshes (obviously wrong based on your reply). If I could trouble you, do you know of any guides/tutorials referring to what I'm trying to do? Since I'm only aiming for a texture match, I haven't been able to find anything. No worries if not, I sincerely appreciate your reply. And by the way, thanks for the work you put in on the tools. Many of us find them irreplaceable : )
  5. I've looked around and haven't been able to find what I think I'm looking for. I'm trying to use the TexGen functionality to get matching landscape LoDs for SE. I understand the SE release of DynDOLOD is some time away, but from what I've read I should be able to jury rig something (maybe?) with just TexGen. I'm only looking for the matching landscape LoD functionality, just to be clear. If there is a good way to go about this, I'd sincerely appreciate any advice : ) Thanks in advance for any assistance!
