Guide/Version-Specific Mod Recommendations

Type a version string using the format indicated by the placeholder text below. Copy/paste the intended guide version from the "Existing Guides" table above (if it exists) into the field below. For unofficial user-created guides, use the format indicated by the placeholder text. Editors: Please DO NOT use wiki headings inside of custom Recommendations and also avoid using templates if at all possible! Template calls add to the max threshold, and headings mess up the guide ToC.

Recommendations

For those unfamiliar with ENB, see the ENBSeries guide for information about ENBSeries post processing. Otherwise, download and install ENB as follows:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  2. Click on the link for the newest version available
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page again, and click on Down1.gif to download the archive
  4. Open the archive and open the WrapperVersion folder
  5. Extract d3d11.dll, d3dcompiler_46e.dll, and enblocal.ini into the root Skyrim Special Edition directory (e.g., ..Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\)
  6. Close the archive and game directory
  • To toggle ENB setting in game, type Shift + Enter.
  • To toggle ENB on/off in game, type Shift + F12.

NOTE: The Step ENB comes with a recommended enblocal.ini.STEP file. To use this, simply delete the version that ships with ENBSeries, and strip '.STEP' from the file name of the Step version. This is optional and for use with any ENB. Generally, this file is maintained by the end user, but we provide it for convenience, since it has vsync and frame limiter options that should be disabled for Step Guide followers.
