Metadata for various plugins can be edited easily in the main LOOT user interface.
Run LOOT via Mod Organizer. Double-click the ESP whose metadata is to be edited in the left pane. In the dialog that appears select the column referenced in the guide and enter the changes as directed. When finished, click the check mark to apply the changes. An icon will appear next to the esp in the left pane to indicate user data has been applied. Sort the load order with LOOT as normal and exit.
