Introduction and Summary

A Means to an End is a modding guide for Fallout: New Vegas that with one goal in mind: to build the most heavily modded game we can while still maintaining balance, stability, and performance. This guide is aimed at both the expert and the beginner - offering a comprehensive list of mods along with instructions so that even the most non-tech-savvy player can follow along and achieve a modded game. By the end of this guide you will have a complete and (mostly) lore-friendly setup that will offer the following key features:

  • A much more challenging game without it becoming a chore for the player.
  • A better looking game while maintaining good performance.
  • More things to do in the game that are lore-friendly and enhance replay-ability.
  • A game that remains stable and conflict-free.
