Guide/Version-Specific Mod Recommendations

Type a version string using the format indicated by the placeholder text below. Copy/paste the intended guide version from the "Existing Guides" table above (if it exists) into the field below. For unofficial user-created guides, use the format indicated by the placeholder text. Editors: Please DO NOT use wiki headings inside of custom Recommendations and also avoid using templates if at all possible! Template calls add to the max threshold, and headings mess up the guide ToC.

Recommendations

Root Files Installation
  1. Manually download the main file
  2. Open the archive and extract the following files to the Starfield root folder ..\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield:
    • sfse_X_X_X.dll
    • sfse_loader.exe
Launcher Configuration

Normally, MO should auto-detect that SFSE is installed upon a restart of the program, and it will auto-generate the SFSE game launcher. This should be used for launching Starfield going forward. Below are some recommendations for further configuration of the SFSE launcher ... or, if for some reason MO fails to configure this. Please ensure the following is correct for SFSE:

  1. In MO, click the Gear MO.png button at the top of the main Mod Organizer window.
  2. Over the left pane, click the [+] (add executable button) and select [Add from file...].
  3. Navigate to the sfse_loader.exe file (e.g., ..\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield\sfse_loader.exe).
  4. "SFSE" can be renamed for clarity, however, if this is done, MO will automatically create the "SFSE" launcher again and place it at bottom of the list.
  5. Use this executable to launch Starfield going forward.
