===Description===
The STEP Core Patch is designed for users that install every mod in STEP Core. It patches every mod, so users do not need to download and install a variety of patches with the added benefit of reducing load order by a significant amount of plugins. The STEP Core Patch includes the STEP Combined Plugin and should not be used with the STEP Extended Patch so there is no need to use any other STEP provided plugin.
The following will go into detail about the mods that are merged into the STEP Core Patch and will detail every record included in the plugin. The detailed list of records in the plugin is mostly for users that want to remove records they do not need and for STEP Pack authors that may want to use the STEP Core Patch to make a patch for their pack to be compatible with the mods in STEP Core.

The main focus of this is to combine the extra plugins included in [http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8655/? Static Mesh Improvement Mod]. There are three optional plugins included in SMIM and STEP recommends using all of them. This part of the Combined Plugin should be made with the TES5Edit merge script or the Creation Kit. The first plugin adds snow covered chests to the game for the SMIM chests that are already part of the main mod. The second plugin is for adding snow to the cave cliffs textures to get rid of flickering. The third plugin is for the Dragonborn Falseed Tern which needed new textures and model. The final two plugins both serve the same purpose, to fix the misplaced shack roofs throughout Skyrim and Solsthiem.{{clear}}

The vendors that sell food will now sell between 1-6 Salt Piles. Making this into a leveled list entry removes compatibility issues that More Salt Please had.

The terminology is consistent throughout the entire list of changes above. The wording has a meaning for how the records are changed in TES5Edit. Here is a list of each term's meanings:
:- FormIDs
::* All FormIDs are eight digits and the first two digits refer to load order the record is from.
::* Any where there is 'XX' in place of the first two digit means that it refers to a plugin that may have a variable load order position. Any record with its first two digits is official content or an unofficial patch.

Description

The STEP Core Patch is designed for users that install every mod in STEP Core. It patches every mod, so users do not need to download and install a variety of patches with the added benefit of reducing load order by a significant amount of plugins. The STEP Core Patch includes the STEP Combined Plugin and should not be used with the STEP Extended Patch so there is no need to use any other STEP provided plugin.

The following will go into detail about the mods that are merged into the STEP Core Patch and will detail every record included in the plugin. The detailed list of records in the plugin is mostly for users that want to remove records they do not need and for STEP Pack authors that may want to use the STEP Core Patch to make a patch for their pack to be compatible with the mods in STEP Core.

Purpose

The STEP Core Patch serves two somewhat related purposes:

  • Reduce the amount of plugins in STEP for those running strict STEP Core.
  • Provide a solution for Pack authors who want to make their pack compatible with STEP Core.

Mods Included

The main focus of this is to combine the extra plugins included in Static Mesh Improvement Mod. There are three optional plugins included in SMIM and STEP recommends using all of them. This part of the Combined Plugin should be made with the TES5Edit merge script or the Creation Kit. The first plugin adds snow covered chests to the game for the SMIM chests that are already part of the main mod. The second plugin is for adding snow to the cave cliffs textures to get rid of flickering. The third plugin is for the Dragonborn Falseed Tern which needed new textures and model. The final two plugins both serve the same purpose, to fix the misplaced shack roofs throughout Skyrim and Solsthiem.

The game setting from No NPC Greetings is included to reduce the annoyance of NPC greetings from far away in game. STEP would like to thank Cipscis for permission to use this mod.

No Spinning Death Animation is included to remove the spinning death animation. STEP would like to thank dDefinder for permission to use this mod.

More Salt Please was a mod in STEP for a long time and inspired an addition to the leveled lists. The vendors that sell food will now sell between 1-6 Salt Piles. Making this into a leveled list entry removes compatibility issues that More Salt Please had.

The last part is a set of cell edits made by Hearthfire.esm that forwarded since this plugin is loaded toward the bottom of the load order. They are considered ITMs, but it is important that these records are not overwritten by anything else or there may be problems with Hearthfire homes.

Nomenclature

The terminology is consistent throughout the entire list of changes above. The wording has a meaning for how the records are changed in TES5Edit. Here is a list of each term's meanings:

- FormIDs
  • All FormIDs are eight digits and the first two digits refer to load order the record is from.
  • Any where there is 'XX' in place of the first two digit means that it refers to a plugin that may have a variable load order position. Any record with its first two digits is official content or an unofficial patch.
  • If the last six digits of a FormID do not match their EditorID in any STEP Plugin it is do to using a merge script to create a new version of the STEP Plugins.
  • Any Game Setting should not have a FormID listed because those are added by their EditorID.
- The following records are forwarded from...
  • This refers to any records that are entirely copied into the plugin. There are two ways this happens, either form using the "Copy as override into.."/"Deep copy as override into..." or using the latest merge plugin script (can renumber FormIDs). This will transfer the entire record into the plugin.
- Forward record from...
  • This is a bit different from the previous phrase because it means that it ONLY refers to using the "Copy as override into.."/"Deep copy as override into..." option in TES5Edit.
- Forward Sub-Record from <Plugin>
  • Move only the Sub-Record type from the <Plugin> column to the STEP plugin column in TES5Edit.
- Anywhere the word Include starts a line, it means that record has to included from the merge plugin script (or the Creation Kit which is not recommended). This also means that the entire plugin that record is from must be merged, but this takes care of merging every other record that is included in the plugin.
- Anywhere the word Add starts a line, it means Right click->Add in TES5Edit, usually on the top level row of that sub-record type in the column of the plugin.
- Any plugin listed will be followed by the name of the mod it came from unless the plugin name matches the mod name.
