This means that while there are no drastic changes to the STEP Guide, we have again fine-tuned the STEP setup to bring you a fluid mod list to enhance the beauty and feel of Skyrim.

With this release STEP:Core is essentially finalized and quickly approaches our 2.3.0 goal. STEP:Extended has also undergone a thorough reanalysis in preparation for its separation into the official STEP Pack. This has led to several mods being dropped from Extended in accordance with the <a href=http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:Mandate#STEP:Extended_.28aka:_the_STEP_Pack.29>STEP:Extended Mandate</a>. Many new mods improving the STEP experience have been added to both Core and Extended. View the changelog for complete details.
Three major mod changes, however, have come to this new version:

<strong>STEP 2.3.0 Overview</strong>
Our v2.3.0 major release is a step closer with the 2.2.9 release. Version 2.3.0 will be our first fully-supported iteration of STEP with Packs (optional mod compilations that follow a specific theme and function). Packs do not necessarily adhere to the STEP Mandate, so this will be of interest to more advanced modders or those that want to expound and/or improve upon the vanilla Skyrim experience.

We cannot present too much detail for 2.3.0 at this time, since we are still in the planning and development stages, but it will represent the next major evolution of STEP. What's more is that 2.3.0 will not abandon the ideology of the STEP Mandate or significantly change STEP so much as it will mark the beginning of the expansion of STEP beyond the vanilla Mandate. Thus, the next iteration will bring many more options in addition to the enhanced vanilla experience for which STEP has come to be known.

<strong>STEP 2.3.0 Overview</strong>
Our v2.3.0 major release is a step closer with the 2.2.9.1 release.
