Meta Rule Instructions[edit | edit source]
LOOT allows the user to create rules to solve load order problems not automatically resolved in the LOOT algorithm. A rule is necessary when one plugin is conflicting with another plugin, causing incompatibility that need not be present.
Creating meta rules[edit | edit source]
To create a LOOT meta rule:
- Launch LOOT through Mod Organizer.
- Click Sort Plugins.
- Select the plugin requiring lower loading (when a plugin is loaded lower than another plugin, it wins the conflict).
- Toward top right, tick the Show only conflicting plugins box. The list of plugins will be much shorter as only conflicting plugins are shown.
- Drag and drop the conflicting plugin into the Load After window.
- Click Apply. The load order will be dynamically reordered applying the rule just created.
- Click Apply again to accept the new load order.
Removing meta rules[edit | edit source]
To remove a LOOT meta rule:
- Launch LOOT.
- Click Edit Metadata.
- Select the plugin the rule was created for.
- At center right, click the Load After tab.
- Select the plugin to be removed from Load After.
- At bottom right, click the Remove Plugin button.
- Click the Save Changes button, saving the change.
